"So you're going to be spending your free day to hang out with your roommate? The roommate that you have acquired feelings for?"

Camila sighed. "Yes, Mani. Lauren suggested it. She said that we should try and get along." She heard her friend laughing on the other end. "What's so funny?"

"Oh, nothing. Look at you guys, becoming civil. It'd be a great story to tell others." Normani answered.

"Do you not believe that this will work?" Camila asked agitatedly as she stared at her reflection in the mirror. A knock on the bathroom door made her jump.

"Everything alright in there, Princess?" Lauren's voice sounded from the other side of the door.

"Y-yeah. Just freshening up before we go!" She replied quickly.

"Okay then. I'll be out here waiting." Lauren announced, and moved away from the door.

Camila held the phone closer to her ear. "Mani, are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. You should go, try to have fun. And when the day's over, I expect a full report on what happened."

"You got it. Bye, wish me luck." After Normani said her goodbye, Camila hung up and stuffed her phone in her jeans pocket. She opened the door to find her roommate sitting on her bed, looking at her phone. "Ready."

Lauren's eyes were glued to her phone's screen. Camila took a few steps toward her and laid a hand on Lauren's leg.

"Hey." She said, slightly louder.

Lauren's head shot up as she placed her phone on her lap. "Let's get this show on the road then."

Camila stood at the door, waiting for Lauren as she shrugged on her leather jacket. The green-eyed girl nodded and the two exited their room, along with the building a few minutes after.

"Where exactly are we going?" Camila asked once they began a steady pace walking on the sidewalk.

"Do you like pizza?"

Camila's face lit up at the mention of the Italian dish. "Yeah."

"Ever been to that small pizzeria on campus?"

"Nope. I haven't really taken the time to look around much."

Lauren smirked. "Alright then. That's where we're going."

Camila surveyed the area around them, taking in the occasional large tree and bush. She looked up at the sky; it was gray, and the sun was hidden behind a mass abundance of clouds. The sight made her sad.

"What's up?" Lauren spoke as she noticed Camila was frowning.

"It seems so dreary." The younger girl said, still staring up at the sky. Lauren's eyes followed hers, and she frowned as well.

"I suppose it does."

"Do you think it might rain?"

Lauren shrugged. "Maybe. But there's no use in worrying about something when there's a chance that it won't happen."

Camila turned to the green-eyed girl, her brow furrowed.

"I don't think I agree with that."

"You don't?" Lauren watched Camila in amusement.

"Well, the fact that whatever you're worried about could happen alone is enough to bother a person."

Lauren bit her lip as she mulled over the girl's words. "I guess you have a point there."
