Tara's POV:
True to his word, Sacks has me tied to a chair, my hands still cuffed together, while the others are tightly chained by their arms and legs in three separate cages. Sacks stands at my side, gawking at them with admiration.
Sacks: "Oh, my. Unbelievable. Let me look at you. I'm a hard guy to impress, but this is just-*laughs*-Wow! And we were gonna use rabbits. Can you imagine that?"
Me: "Oh yeah, a whole army of Easter Bunnies. The world would be yours in a New York minute. Heck, I'm shaking in my boots just thinking about it."
Sacks: "Oh, don't be like that, sweetheart. All we were trying to do is create an antidote."
Leo: "For what?"
Sacks redirects his gaze towards Leo.
Sacks: "Say that again. I wanna hear your voice."
Leo: "For what?!"
Sacks: "Wow. Well, um, we had this plan. A plan that we're ready to put back online today. I'll show you."
Sacks walks over to Karai as she drags a man into the room. Meanwhile, the other soldiers bring in a vat of what I'm guessing the 'antidote' is for.
Sacks: "You know my building, Sacks Tower? Got that great big spire up on top? That spire is filled with tons of chemical toxins."
Karai places a mask over the man's face for him to inhale the toxin. Within minutes, the man dies from prolonged exposure to it.
Sacks: "Bad stuff.-*gestures to the man*-That kind of bad. In a few hours, Shredder is going to unleash all that stuff over the whole city. The initial death toll will shake world governments to their core. In 30 days, the city of New York will be a quarantine zone. And that is where my company comes in. I'm gonna save everyone with the antidote that's made from the mutagen that is oozing through your blood."
Me: "You wouldn't."
Sacks: "Oh, I would. Because the government will then send Sacks Industry a blank check, and I'm gonna be rich. Like stupid rich."
A man in a lab coat presses a button on a nearby machine, and Sacks begins draining the mutagen from the Turtles' bloodstream, just as Shredder said. I should've known better than to call his bluff, but I never thought he would do anything like this.
Sacks: "Shredder will force this city to live under our rule. We will be gods."
Me: *scoff* "There is no 'we' with Shredder. He'd never share control of his empire with anyone, not even his most prized pupil."
Sacks: "And to think, that title used to belong to you. Daddy's little girl, no mother, no siblings, no one else to care about her."
Sacks slowly traces my jawline with a fake pout.
Sacks: "Sorry about that. But look on the bright side, you made new friends."
Leo grits his teeth as he pulls against his chains.
Leo: "Don't touch her!"
Sacks obeys as he glances between Leo and me before grinning smugly.
Sacks: "Wait, are you two...? Oh, that is just adorable!-*to Karai*-Isn't that adorable? Two lonely outcasts find each other at last. It's a shame we won't see a happy ending."
