Ninja Mutant Turtle Teenagers in New York

Winter Blunder-Land

Tara's POV:

We head outside to April and, apparently, Vern's van.

Raph: "Sacks is airborne."

Donnie: "Flight time to Manhattan is 19 minutes."

Leo: "Get us out of here, Donnie."

Donnie scans the area for a truck we can use since Raph damaged the van. Suddenly, we spot a group of men approaching us with guns.

Donnie: "Oh my gosh, they have guns!"

The turtles turn their backs to the men to shield April, Vern, and me from the line of fire. Their shells seem unaffected by the gunfire, deflecting the bullets back towards the shooting men.

Leo: "Are you guys ok?"

Raph: "We're bulletproof."

Mikey: "Sweet!"

Leo: *to Vern* "Can you drive that truck?"

Vern: "Yeah."

Leo: *to the others* "We're on Raph. Ready?"

Raph backs into one of the men, disarms him, and knocks him to the ground. Leo and I follow after him, kicking and punching the group of men surrounding us. Donnie and Mikey take care of the rest while I shield April and Vern from our opponents as they rush to the truck.

Leo: "Everybody in the truck. We gotta go, go, go! Move!"

Mikey leaps on top of the truck, April & Vern hop into the front seats, and the rest of us jump into the back.

Raph & I: "Drive!"

Vern: "I'm on it."

Raph: "Come on, come on!"

Vern: "Oh, that's all I need is a backseat driving, talking turtle."

Not far behind, our enemies appear in multiple trucks.

Mikey: "Where we going, guys?"

Leo: "Donnie, what's the fastest way back to Manhattan?"

Donnie looks at his watch for the statistics.

Donnie: "We just need to stay on this road. If we can get to the maintenance hatch at the bottom of the hill, there's a sewer line 2.4 miles from here."

Leo: "Mikey, let 'em know up there."

Mikey: "I'm on it. Oh, no."

Vern swerves the truck to the right as an oncoming missile hits us. We all try to hold on, but a large crate lands in the snow and hits Leo. We're dangling over the hill's edge, trying to drive forward as our enemies approach us. The truck tips over, and we start falling straight down the mountain.

Me: "Leo, move, move!"

Leo ducks out of the way in time to avoid being run over while Vern turns the truck around so the front side is going forward.

Raph: "How far off course are we?"

Donnie: "Actually, we're on a bit of a shortcut. But we need to keep going down. Straight down."

Leo starts to run after us when the enemy hits him from behind. He flies onto his shell as he tries to hold them off. Unfortunately, they connect a taser to him, Mikey stating the obvious from atop the truck.

Mikey: "Guys, Leo's in trouble!"

Raph: "My shell's cracked. Just tape it up."

Donnie: "Allow me to be the badass for once."

Donnie leaps out of the truck, disconnects the taser from Leo, and uses his bo staff to send a car flying through the air. Somehow, he still ends up getting tased himself. Mikey then swoops in to save them via his rocket-powered skateboard. I tape over the crack in Raph's shell, turning to see Mikey driving one of the other cars through a hole in the roof.

Mikey: "Guys, I'm driving."

Raph leaps out of the truck, taking out a group of men inside a car. Suddenly, we run into an oncoming avalanche. Raph jumps out of the car to meet up with the others, Leo having been knocked unconscious. He wakes up soon after, and Raph flings him to the top of the truck. He crawls over and pulls me out of the back. He then gets April and Vern while I stay atop the vehicle.

Leo: "Hi, change of plans."

I turn to my left to see Karai aiming a taser directly at his head.

Me: "Leo, heads up."

Leo follows my gaze with a groan.

Leo: "Oh, come on. Guys, get down. Get down!"

Leo tries pulling the taser off his plastron while I call for Raph's help.

Me: "Raph!"

Raph: "I'm on it! Donnie, do that fancy slingshot thing. We gotta take out Little Miss Sunshine."

Donnie flings Raph into Karai's car, turning off the taser as Leo grabs April and Vern. I leap off the back of the truck into Mikey's arms.

Mikey: "What up, sis?"

I smile at his nonchalance.

Me: "Oh, you know. Just your everyday drop off a snowy cliff on our way to destroy a walking tin can."

Mikey: "Living the dream."

I turn to face the truck, my smile dropping as the other end of the taser cable disconnects from the car, and Leo calls out to us for help.

Leo: "Mikey, grab the cable."

Mikey grabs onto the cable, trying to keep Leo from going over. He accidentally lets go when we slide over a rock.

Mikey: "Oh, no. Leo, April, and that other guy. They were so young, so beautiful. Sorry, Tara."

Raph slides past us to tell Mikey what I might've told him more nicely.

Raph: "They ain't dead, numb nuts."

Mikey: "Oh, right on."

Raph, Donnie and I see Leo holding onto April, Vern, and the cliff's edge.

Donnie: "Hey, guys, it's the maintenance hatch. Our ticket home."

Leo: "A little help, please."

Raph and I help him up onto our side of the cliff, Leo pulling me into a tight hug once he's on solid ground, and April & Vern stepping over to the side.

Leo: "Told you so."

Me: "Don't push your luck, Fearless. We're not out of the woods yet."

Donnie: "She's right, we gotta hustle. Shredder's over New York City."
