Chapter 17

Days has passed and my free week is almost over.

Ever since the party, I barely hung out with Lukas. By barely I meant, didn't.

Every time he'd ask me to hang out, I would reason out I was tired and taking advantage of my break by sleeping it out. We text, but I don't reply as much anymore. It's not exactly a lie ,but it's also not exactly the truth.

I feel bad that I'm ignoring him. Maybe the next time I see him, I'll tell him straight to his face to give me space first.

Nasa bahay lang ako ngayon. Pagkatapos ng klase ay dumiretso ako dito. Ang sakit kasi nang puson ko, bigla akong nagkaron. I wasn't supposed to have my period 'til next week ,but it came earlier.

I guess it's fine since nagsakto sa break. I wouldn't be uncomfortable once I go back to training. That feeling is the worst!

Sayang, nag-aya pa naman si Julia na pumunta sa mall to hang out.

I was in the kitchen, looking for something to eat. I rarely eat, but every time my period comes, I eat a lot! Nakakatakam kasi! Patuloy lang akong naghahanap nang may biglang kumatok. Nagtataka akong pumunta para buksan ang pinto. Wala naman akong hinihintay na bisita.

Imagine my surprise when I saw Lukas.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" I curiously asked. Ba't ba kasi siya andito? Kaya nga nag-tetext lang kami kasi iniiwasan ko siya eh!

"I come bringing treats," he said smiling a bit while holding up a bag.

"I kind of overheard from your friend that you're on your period," he continued while scratching the back of his neck using his vacant hand.

A tint of pink was visible on his face. I recently learned that it comes out whenever he's nervous or unsure. I hid a smile.

How can I move on if he does cute things like this?

Pinapasok ko siya sa bahay. Kahit naman iniiwasan ko siya, I'm not rude enough just to throw him out 'no! We went straight to my room since I was hanging out there the whole day.

Nilabas niya ang mga laman ng bag na dala niya. I can see a lot of snacks! There are also a few stuff that I'm not sure what are the use for.

Tinuro niya 'yong mga chocolate na snacks, "my mom likes eating these. I thought maybe you'd like them the same." He pointed at a bunch of packs of gummies, "I know you like to eat gummies whenever you feel stressed or whenever your in a bad mood."

Paano niya alam 'yon?

Tangina, Lukas Santos. Bagsak na bagsak na 'ko sa'yo.

We were both on my bed. I wanted to watch a Barbie movie, and I can't believe he let me. Akala ko magrereklamo siya kasi baka masyadong pambata o girly. But he surprised me by agreeing and even asked me if he should heat up the hot compress while I was preparing the t.v.

Did I mention he bought me a My Melody hot compress?

Wala daw kasi siyang makitang Hello Kitty kaya 'yon nalang.

"I'm bored," I was munching on some gummies.

I looked at him, "can I put makeup on your face?"

His forehead scrunched, "what?"

"I want to do something on your face. Can I? Please," I pleaded. Bored na bored talaga ako. I want to practice a new makeup look and maybe we can do skin care after. I remembered I have a bunch of skin care stuff that I still haven't used. Sayang naman baka ma-expire pa!

He let out a defeated breathe, "no matter what I say, we'll still do whatever you want, huh?"

I let out a big smile and even clapped my hands together. I giggled and ran straight to my bathroom to get the things I need.
