Chapter 14

Ilang minuto na ang nakalipas ngunit 'di pa rin kami naghihiwalay. Patuloy niya lang akong pinapatahan habang ako naman ay umiiyak. I can feel how wet his shirt is because of my tears.

"Sorry.." sabi ko habang humiwalay, using my arms to remove my tear stains. He turned his back on me to let me fix myself so I wouldn't feel conscious. When I felt better, humarap ako sa kanya at pilit na ngumiti.

"Ano ginagawa mo dito?"

Napakamot siya sa batok niya, "You were gone before I could congratulate you. I thought I could stop by your house to see you..." sabi niya habang nakaiwas ng tingin, may pagka pinkish tint pa 'yong pisngi niya.

I smiled because of how adorable he looked, but I lost it quickly because I thought about what he said. "You watched me?" I asked curiously. There was a hint of nervousness in my voice.

Tumango siya, "the whole family watched you. Lana told us you were part of the competition, my mom insisted we should all watch to support you." He said and quirked his lips up.

"Thank you..." bulong ko. Naluluha ulit ako but this one isn't out of sadness. I felt shocked that they would support me, let alone them insisting to. 'Di ko nga sila kapamilya pero sinuportahan pa rin nila ako. I can feel tears forming again, I felt so overwhelmed. He saw how I was about to cry again, he looked so panicked. Before he could ask me how I'm feeling, "no, no... I'm fine. These are happy tears." I even chuckled a bit to calm him down.

Tinanong tanong niya pa 'ko if I was sure na okay ako. Nang nakatahan na 'ko, may nakita ako sa sahig. Napatitig ako do'n kaya sinilip niya rin. Pinulot niya 'yon at binigay sa'kin.

Inabot niya ang bouquet na may makukulay na bulaklak at may kasama 'tong papel. "The drawing is from my sister and the bouquet is from all of us." 'Yong letter may drawing ng dalawang stickman na may suot na makulay na damit at skate shoes. An arrow is pointing towards the tall pink stick figure, it says ate Di. The short purple figure says Lana. I smiled with how thoughtful they are.

"Here..." may inabot pa siya sa'kin. He took something from the back pocket of his pants. It was a small box... with a Hello Kitty design?

"W-what..." I was so confused when I took it from him. I was just staring at it. Para saan 'yon? I looked at him confused.

Bigla siyang namula, "A-ahh..." mukhang 'di niya alam kung ano sasabihin niya.

"Bandaids?" Tinanong ko na lang sa kanya.

He cleared his throat, "It's for when you a-accidentally wound yourself again. I was buying for more designs for Lana when I saw it. I-it reminded me of you. I remember seeing your water jug, it has a Hello Kitty sticker on it. And I saw you hugging a plushie like it awhile ago s-so... I thought you'd like it... because you know. T-they have a Hello Kitty design on it." He stuttered out, looking everywhere besides my eyes.

He looked so adorable and different from the person I've been hanging out with, I simply couldn't resist. I hugged him. Tila nabigla pa nga siya dahil hindi nga siya nakatingin sa'kin. He hugged me back, I can even feel him twirling the end of my hair with the tip of his fingers.

"I have another box for myself... just in case you ran out or you don't have it with you. It's so you can have a bandaid with a design you like... 'di ka na magtatampo 'pag si Belle pinili ko." Aba! may gana pa 'kong asarin. Parang kanina lang 'di siya makatingin-tingin sa'kin. I hit him lightly in the chest, at natawa pa nga.

"Anong gusto mong kainin?" After niya 'kong i-comfort, I asked him if he wanted to stay. Nanunuod lang kami ng movie ngayon sa sala, I noticed it was almost 10pm but we haven't eaten yet. 'Di naman ako gutom pero baka kasi siya gutom na, nahihiya lang magsabi.
