You tell Damiano that you're pregnant (Part 2)

It's 9:30pm and you are cuddled up in bed with Damiano. You are both still awake, just holding one another. "Ahh they're due soon!" Damiano smiles, referring to your baby. You both wanted the gender of the baby to be a surprise. "I'm so proud of you Y/n, you're incredible. I can't imagine how hard it's been for you these past 9 months but you've done such an amazing job princess" he continues as he places a kiss on your temple. Your heart feels so full, he's the best and he's been so supportive of you during the pregnancy.

Damiano then gives your stomach a kiss. "I love you so much Dami" you say as tears begin to clog your eyes. "Aw baby why are you crying?" he asks as he holds your face.
"Because I love you more than anything and you're gonna be the best dad ever to our baby" you respond. He gives you his beautiful smile and nuzzles his nose with yours and places a kiss on it.

All of a sudden, you feel a gush of water come out as if you've just wet yourself. You gasp and get out of the bed as fast as you can. "Y/n what's wr-" you both then see the big wet patch on your bed. You are in shock and you look down to see that water is dripping down your legs. "Shit Dami, I think my waters have broke!" you exclaim with worry coming over you. "Oh my god" says Damiano in shock "We need to get you to the hospital."

Damiano carries you and places you in his car and he drives you to the hospital. "FUCK!" you yell as you feel the most painful feeling ever, like your insides are being crushed. "You're having contractions?" says Damiano looking at you with abundant worry.
"No, Damiano" you reply with a sarcasm about your tone.

Once you're at the hospital, you are assigned a bed. You are now in the room with Damiano and a midwife. "You're not quite ready to push yet Y/n" the midwife tells you softly as she rubs your arm "But this baby is coming for sure."
"D-Damiano" you quiver. He goes to you, bending down to be on your level. You grab his hand. "Damiano, I'm so so scared" you tell him, your eyes becoming glossy.
"Y/n, don't be scared baby. You can do this, everything's gonna be okay. I'm right here, and I let the others know and they're on their way" Damiano says. He then places a kiss on your forehead. "AGHH." Another contraction.

"Y/n Y/n Y/n!" you hear from outside the room. The voice gets closer and closer. Moments later, Thomas bursts through the door, it is evident that he ran here as fast as he could. He then bends slightly, resting his hands on his knees as he tries to regain his breath. "Well hello to you too Thomas" you chuckle.
"I'll give you some space" the midwife says as she then makes her way out of the room. Victoria and Ethan then arrive. "Y/n!" Victoria smiles as she makes her way over to you and softly kisses your cheek. "How are you?"
"In pain" you respond. Ethan then walks to you and also kisses your cheek. "You've got this Y/n" he beams, smiling at you.

"Baby David is definitely gonna be a guitarist!" gushes Thomas.
"No way Jose meow meow, they're gonna be a bassist like Auntie Vic." counters Victoria as she shakes her head at Thomas. Thomas sticks his tongue out at her in response and she responds with her middle finger. "Jesus, there's already two kids in here" chuckles Ethan, earning a laugh from you all. All of a sudden, you wince as you're harshly hit with another contraction. "Fuck" you mutter under your breath. "It hurts so bad!" Damiano gives you a sympathetic glance and he takes your hand and kisses it all over. "OW!" Another contraction attacks you.
"Woah, they were not far apart" comments Damiano.

"You know Y/n, I think you're gonna be a great mum. You're like a big sister to me and Baby David is gonna be lucky to have you" Thomas tells you.
"Aw Tommy" you gush, your eyes becoming watery for the 100th time tonight. "Aw Thomas actually said something that isn't stupid" mocks Victoria as she nudges Thomas. Damiano laughs loudly and then says "In all seriousness, thanks for being here guys, it means a lot."
"Of course, we love you both a lot - and Baby David" replies Ethan. You love these people so damn much.

The midwife then comes back into the room. "Y/n, it looks like you're ready to push." she says.
"Good luck Y/n!" Vic smiles as she, Ethan and Thomas exit the room. You then feel like your heart is in your stomach and your breath becomes faster and faster. "Hey Y/n, calm down, it's going to be okay, you can do this" Damiano reassures as he grasps your hand tighter. "Okay Y/n, start pushing whenever you're ready" says the midwife. As you start pushing, you squeeze Damiano's hand hard. He winces as it hurts him but he doesn't let you know that.

After moments of debilitating pain as you push, the room fills with the sound of your baby crying. You throw your head back on the pillow and exhale deeply. The midwife then takes your baby and cleans it up. "Y/n you did it!" Damiano tells you, giving you a kiss. You then see that he's starting to cry. Seeing Damiano cry always made you cry too and that's what happened now. You take his face in both of your hands and caress his face with your thumbs. "I love you so much Dami" you sob.

"It's a girl!" the midwife announces jovially as she hands you your baby. You and Damiano both look at each other with your faces lit up at finding out you've got a daughter. You hold her in your arms against your chest and look at her with pure admiration and love. "Rose" you whisper softly. Since the beginning of your pregnancy, you and Damiano had settled on the name 'Rose' if you were to have a girl. It is fitting - she's beautiful just like the flower.

"She has your eyes Dami, and your mouth" you say softly "She's beautiful just like her dad."
"No, she's beautiful just like her mum" Damiano smiles. He kisses your temple and then leans down and kisses Rose's head. "Hey princess, daddy loves you so much" he whispers, his words full of love for his baby girl. Rose grasps one of Damiano's fingers with her whole hand. "So tiny" he murmurs to himself.

The door then opens slowly and Vic peeps her head in. "Can we come in?" she whispers. You nod at her. She then walks in with Ethan and Thomas following behind. "Come meet Rose, guys" you say gently. The three of them stand around your bed and look at your baby in amazement. Victoria places her hand on her chest as she starts to tear up. "Aww Vic" you say. "S-she's just perfect Y/n" Vic says with her voice slightly breaking from her crying "I love you guys so much."
"I love you too Vic...do you wanna hold her?" you ask. Victoria's face suddenly lights up.
"Yes! Please" she replies. You then carefully hand Rose to Victoria. She rocks her gently.

Vic, Ethan and Thomas are fussing over your baby, enthralled by your bundle of joy. Damiano then turns to you and says "Y/n, I'm so proud of you. You are the love of my life, thank you for our daughter." Your eyes become watery, tears spilling as your heart melts from his words. Damiano is the most perfect boy and will be the most perfect father.
