you walked through the crowded streets along side kuroo. the beautiful colors of the sky mixed into the sunset. though, it was starting to get cooler out throughout the days. "so ive been wondering ever since ive known this about you," kuroo started. "what?" you lifted an eyebrow at him. "did you choose to work here?" he spit it out. "eh?" you side eyed the tall boy. "well—i dont see you as a person to like maids or—" you cut him off. "you really think i got this job just by the looks of it?" you snorted. "well yeah—" you laughed. "hell no. it was the only job that had a good pay at the state i was in." you sighed. "you dont have to act all embarrassed, everyone would love seeing there student president in a revealing maid outfit," kuroo chuckled. "its not funny." you blushed. "you know, you look cute blushing—not that your already really cute but its just the cherry on top." he mutters. "s-stop playing around!" you lightly smacked his bicep. "ow!" he pouted, rubbing the spot that pained. "your such a big drama queen, i didnt even hit you that hard." you rolled your eyes playfully. "haha, sooo funny." he flicked your forehead.

"so, y/n." amelie voiced. "yes, ame?" you took a quick glimpse of her before turning back to folding your uniform. "you and kuroo seem closer, did you make up?" she smiled. "yeah, our fight was quite childish, more like a misunderstanding i guess?" you shrugged. "well, im glad you guys are together again." she grinned. "hows it with jacob?" you asked. "well—hes acting suspicious in some way, like hes hiding something from me. im not trying to assume but i hope its not what i think it is." she perused her lips. "want me to kick his ass? im good at it." you questioned. "no no, but i have something else in mind—"

"what?" you jerked at the information. "just for a bit, please." she gave you puppy dog eyes. "you know i cant say no to that, so stop it!" you glared. "so youll do it?" she gleamed. "fine fine." you sighed. "okay, wear this!" she pulled out two long beige blazers, black hats, and tinted glasses. "dont you think this is a bit melodramatic?" you stared at the gear in your hands. "cmon, this will be fun!" she smiled, though you knew behind her smile was a deep feeling of agitation. you pitied the older girl, she was someone you looked up too, someone you could actually trust.

you both watched closely as the fairly tall boy leave his own residence, well dressed. amelies smile drops a bit. you placed a hand on her back reassuring her that you were there for her, she returned it with a nod.

you both continued to follow the man. soon he stops into front of a blue house. on the porch was a girl with beautiful green eyes, tan skin, and also, well dressed. they exchanged a few greetings and other things but not audible to you both because of the distance. "he said she was just his best friend.." amelie hesitated. "its okay, we dont know for sure yet." you comforted her. to you, this didn't seem to be going right. but little did you both know, they got into a red mustang and drove off leaving you both there to assume the worst. hell, you were scared to look at amelie hoping she wouldnt break out into tears. you side eyed her. her jaw was on the floor. "that's the car i got him." now you were mad. "give me your phone." you puffed. "why—" you cut her off. "just give me your phone, amelie okumara." she didnt hesitate to hand you her phone. you scrolled unto you found what you were looking for. the phone rang, and rang, and rang until it was finally picked up.
