I try to allow it to take me, I really do, but I can still feel a single pair of eyes watching me. I know she's still there and I get the feeling she wont go away until I confront her. As my stomach beings to tighten like a sailors rope and my throat becomes dry, I force myself to open my eyes. Despite everything in me telling me not to. Bracing myself for the insanity, that apparently is my life now, I look up. I immediately notice Mikayla's eyes are firmly fixed on me. Her sister is looking around frantically, and to be quite honest she loos scared. But not of me. It's almost as if there's someone or something thee that's a threat to them.

Even with this apparent immanent danger Mikayla still has her gaze fixated on me. Now that i stand to really look at her I see that she's squinting. Even now that I'm stood directly in front of her, with only the glass of the mirror separating us, she still squints. I suppose it doesn't matter how close I ma she just can't see me. Now fully anyway. My attention is immediately pulled off of Mikayla when Skylar makes her way over to pull on her sisters arm. "Seriously Mikayla we need to go. It's not safe out here". The skin around Skylar's knuckles somehow becomes even whiter as her grip tightens on her sisters arm. With every small, reluctant step in to the woods she visibly becomes more an more afraid. Her hands are clearly shaking and she's practically forcing her legs to move with her sister as she continuously tries to soak in her surroundings. Despite her younger sisters evident fear she shakes off her grip and takes a step closer to me. "Oh shush. We're going to be fine".

Her attempts at comforting her sister fail horribly but she doesn't seem to pay that any mind as she continues to focus all of her attention on me. In any other case I'd be completely entranced by her but right now I can't stop my gaze from shifting on to her sister. Skylar is now jumping at the sound of the wind picking up or a twig snapping. With her head constantly over her shoulder I cant shift the feeling of uneasiness for myself. I know that they are in some kind of other world or dimension, or at least I'm trying to convince myself they are, and I know for sure they are definitely in some kind of danger. It's only now that the realization sets in for me. If anything does happen to them there will be nothing I can do, but stand and watch.

"Were you not listening this morning?". Skylar now rushes to be by her sisters side, but I can't tell if it's because she wants to protect her sister or if she's afraid for her own life. Mikayla glances over her shoulder as she notices her sisters hand wrap around her arm. Skylar's worry once again doesn't phase her as she scoffs as though her answer is so obvious. "No obviously not. I was too busy thinking about coming here". "Really? Because that's exactly what they told us not to do. Good thing I was listening". I know Mikayla is adamant on finding this sound, which I suppose is me, but with Skylar's fear growing by the second I'm really starting to fear for their safety.

I know I've only known them a short amount of time but I can't deny the fact that I do have an emotional connection to them, especially Mikayla. I mean she's the spitting image of Sarah. How could I not care? To see her move and hear her voice again is just so surreal. I just want this version of her to remain ok and safe. No scratch that I want her to remain alive. Both of them.

Snapping back to this bizarre version of reality I continue to watch as they dive deeper in to this wooded area. With a tug at her sleeve pulling her away from her mission Mikayla turns back to see her sister pleading to tell her something. "Ok Skylar. What is so important?". Moving to once again stand directly at her sister side, she lowers her tone to a scared whisper. "She's back Mikayla". Obviously still clueless she stares at Skylar in utter confusion. Honestly if I were her I'd be doing the exact same thing. Then again I probably would have paid more attention when the news of the threat was announced that morning. "Who's she?". Taking ahold of Mikayla's hand she pulls on her enough for them to end up locking eyes. "Were you seriously not listening this morning?". "Come on Skylar you already know I wasn't So just tell me already. Who is she?". Skyla's grip visibly tightens on her sister, the whites of her knuckles really couldn't get any whiter. I get the feeling that she's putting all of her energy in to keeping herself grounded. It seems to me that she is seconds away from passing out in fear.
