(Stereotypical jealously story, might make a part 2. I'm just not really in that creative mode lately.
Haste: 6
Atom: Newborn)

Hitch picked up the little colt, bringing him close to his mother. "Meet your little brother, buddy. This is Atom."

The six-year-old tilted his head, staring at the infant, then looking to his parents with curiosity. "He's so tiny! How can you even hold him?"

Zipp chuckled. "You have to hold him gently, kiddo. Support the head. Believe it or not, you used to be this small when you were a baby."

"Really?" Haste gasped.

Zipp nodded her head, leaning in so Haste could get a better look.

Atom was a fair mix of his parents. He had a light gray coat with pale orange markings, a green mane with lighter green and pink streaks, and had fair, light brown eyes.

He cooed, looking at his surroundings. His brown orbs met his brother, and he gave a sudden squeal, holding out his hooves. Haste was confused, and he looked to his mother.

She smiled. "Think he wants you to hold him. Sit on the chair." Haste obeyed, and Hitch gave his oldest son the baby. "Support his head. That's it."

Atom cooed again, staring at his brother with amusement and wonder. He swatted his hooves, hitting Haste straight in the muzzle. "Ouch!"

Zipp laughed. "I did the same thing to my mom."

Haste rubbed his muzzle, grumbling at his brother, Atom only giggling. He rolled his eyes, holding out his hooves as a way to say he wants him to be taken back.

Hitch cradled him, sitting on the other chair. "Rebellious, aren't you? You are gonna be like your mother so much." He tapped his muzzle, making him squeal.

"I hope not."

"Aunt Pipp!" Haste beamed, running to her. Pipp took him, hugging him right. "Oh, I've missed you! You been good for your parents?"

He nodded his head, then frowned when he heard his little brother coo. Pipp looked back and forth from them, then smiled at Haste, ruffling his mane."Oh, you'll grow to love him."

Haste gave a hesitant frown, and Pipp kissed his cheek, setting him down.

Zipp smiled, giving her sister her new nephew. Pipp gave a small 'aww', tapping his muzzle. "He's adorable! Looks a lot like you, sis."

The mother shrugged, giving a tired chuckle. "I guess so. I'm gonna rest for a bit, if that's okay."

Hitch took her hoof. "Of course, hun. You need to. Come on, Haste." He touched his shoulder

The little colt pushed away defiantly, surprising the former sheriff. "Haste...We have to leave, your mother needs to rest."

"Make me." he snapped.

Hitch was completely confused. Haste never acted this way. He was always a good-natured colt after he was done with his terrible toddler phase. What was going on?

"Haste Brisk, don't make me have to ground you." Hitch threatened, sternly.

"I believe someone is envious of his new sibling." A calm, collected voice stated sharply.

"Mom!" Pipp gasped.

Haste didn't acknowledge her, leaving the room. The queen looked to the Hitch, nodding her head. The sheriff then left the room, seeing his son sitting in the chair nearest to the door.

Hitch sighed, sitting next to him. Haste turned away, and he could see the shame and hurt in his little face, and he rubbed his shoulders. Hitch stroked his natural unruly mane. "Oh, Hasty."

"I-I'm sorry." he sniffed.

"Shhh." Hitch took him, cradling him. "It's okay. I understand. Haste, listen to me. No matter the fact that there is a new baby, we will still love you no matter what. And you know what?"

"What?"

"Everything you know, you can teach Atom. He's gotta know his colors and maths eventually. You get to teach him those things."

Haste thought, his turquoise eyes glittering. He then said, "I guess you're right. But...what if you do forget about me?"

Hitch cleared his throat, holding out his hoof, giving a vow. "I solemnly swear that I will never forget my son Haste Brisk Drift, and that I will forever cherish him as the bestest big brother."

Haste giggled, "'Bestest' isn't a word, dad."

He poked his tummy, making him giggle again. "I'm trying to be serious. We love you son, no matter how much attention the new baby needs. And if you ever feel like you're being ignored, come talk to us, please."

Haste thought again, then nodded his head, hugging his father.

Just then, Queen Haven and Pipp left the hospital room, Atom sleeping soundly in his grandmother's embrace. They both turned their heads to Hitch and Haste, smiling warmly.
