Emma's POV
Present...

After I had found the journal I kept reading through. I thought maybe if I read what had happened between me and Killian, some of the memories would flow back. But it didn't seem to be working. I reached the last date, and it was the date of the accident. I closed it shut and put it back in the drawer of my past life. Everything was overwhelming me too much, he really had hope that I would remember. But with each passing day some of my own hope faded. And oddly enough, his never did.

Later that day, he came back from the studio and I walked up to him as I played nervously with my fingers.

"I found this journal thing, it had a bunch of dates written down from all of our past events, and I know I shouldn't be snooping around but I need to know what it is," I threw the words out at him.

He stood there speechless and halfway through taking off his jacket, "um, that was kind of suppose to be a gift." He sighed and tossed the leather jacket on the arm of the couch.

"A gift for what?" I asked biting my lip.

"Our ten year anniversary, but never-mind, I'll get you a bracelet or something," he smiled slightly.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I - I didn't know." I apologized and followed him into the kitchen.

"It's fine," he said taking a bottle of water from the fridge, "what did you do all day?"

"I went through that drawer of pictures and stuff." I said slightly embarrassed.

He read me, "you're curious. It's okay. I can show you some video tapes if you'd like." He smiled and took a sip of the water, licking his lips afterwards and that made me look at his lips for more than normally. I tore my gaze away.

"Of what? Like our wedding?"

"And the honeymoon." He answered.

I raised an eyebrow, thinking of the most inappropriate scenario.

He rolled his eyes, "of us on the beach, not of us having sex. Though that is a good idea," he smirked.

I huffed and smiled, "let's see them."

He nodded and led me to the living room, we both plopped down on the couch.

Killian didn't really like going on a date with a total stranger, but there was something about this stranger. Apart from her mystical beauty, when he looked at her eyes, he saw kindness, and a good soul. Along with some heart break. That made him curious. He wanted to get to know her, and to hate the bastard who hurt her forever. He shouldn't feel this way for someone he's only talked to with less than 5 minutes. But it was just her, her-she made him curious about her life. He wanted to know more.

He waited at a booth at Granny's, wearing a dark blue button up dress shirt and black skinny jeans. He tapped his fingers rhythmically against the wooden table. His nerves kicking in once he saw the hand of the watch go a minute over eight.

She won't show up. She doesn't know me. I probably creeped her out.

The thoughts flooded his head. His finger tapping became more anxious but his tensed muscles relaxed when the blonde haired vixen walked through the door of the diner. The bell hanging from the door frame announcing her entrance.
