"You're awake" I walked over to her and stopped, giving her ample space

"I'm sorry...I heard voices and I just...didn't want to be alone so I thought I would come down. I didn't think you had company"

"Oh no, you're fine" I told her

"Yes really. I'm happy for you to join us" Liam spoke up

"Yes of course. I'm Dani, Liam's wife" Dani stood up and waved

I could tell she wasn't sure if hugging or coming close to her was a good idea but I assumed she brushed that notion off because before I knew it, she was stepping around me and wrapping her arms around Pia.

"Sorry, love. I'm a hugger"

"It's okay" she smiled, hugging her back, "You're expecting?"

"Yes! Twins!" she smiled at her

"That's wonderful, congratulations" Pia gave her a small smile.

"Come! Let me fix us tea" she took Pia by the hand and led her across the kitchen

Liam stood up and whispered into Dani's ear, nodding before walking over to me.

"Let's talk in your office" Liam walked past me

I nodded.

Pia.

We sat in the large, lavish living room in silence. I had suddenly realized I never got to know my surroundings. I had never seen Harry's home before because whenever I was in it I was either unconscious or it was dark. Thats when Dani spoke.

"I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through" she spoke softly.

She was gorgeous. She was also very pregnant. I nodded and stayed quiet. I didn't know what to do or say.

"What did Veroni—"

"I don't want to talk about it" I shook my head

"I'm sorry. I'm an idiot. Talking about it only brings triggers and flashbacks"

"Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom"

She nodded and gave me a small smile as I stood up and walked past her and up the stairs.

I walked past Harry's office and the door was closed. I don't know why but I knocked and he opened it.

"Pia, is everything alright?"

I looked up at him as he towered over me. He was handsome. I didn't know when the next time I was ever going to let another man touch me in that way and I wanted to scream because of it. I was attracted to him, I just didn't trust him sexually. He had never done anything to me but I could just imagine the flashbacks of Louis' hands all over me instead of say Harry's if it were Harry's hands all over me. I scolded myself only to realize I was standing in front of this man as he waited for an answer and I was busy in my head contemplating whether or not I would sleep with him.

"Pia?"

"Sorry no I'm fine" I stammered, "I don't know why I knocked on the door"

"It's okay" I sensed he was going to place his hand on my shoulder but stopped, respecting my space.

"The chef arrived minutes ago so food will be prepared soon"

I nodded and looked down at our feet.

"I'm going to go to the bathroom" I told him

"Alright" he chuckled at the brash confession.

I left him in the doorframe of his office. I felt him watch me as I walked down the hall to the guest bedroom. I walked in and over to the bed, sitting down. I looked down at my hands and started to shake I didn't want to burden him or his warm friends who I could see was his family. I felt like such a burden. This was all my fault and I knew that. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something. I looked onto the floor by the nightstand and saw the syringe Veronica must've dropped from last night. I picked it up and stared at it.

What if this was a sign?

To end it all?

I wasn't sure of what was in the instrument but I knew it was a powerful sedative. She had mentioned I only needed a small amount but I'm assuming the entire thing could kill me if I had injected it all.

I found my feet moving toward the bathroom. I stepped onto the floor and closed the door behind me. I locked it. I stepped into the bathtub and sat down. Rolling up my sleeve I uncapped the syringe and balled my fist, searching for a vein. It was almost too easy. I tapped the skin and gently slid the needle in. I took a deep breath before pushing the liquid into my body.

I panicked because I didn't feel anything but only moments later did it take effect. My eyes started to droop. My body became warm all over. My breathing hitched. My hearing seemed to buzz before it only consisted of me hearing my heart beat slower and slower.

I felt the vibration of the wall on my back but was too sedated to turn my body to see what was causing it. My lids dropped completely and black engulfed everything around me and just like that I was gone.
