Chapter 5

There will be some unkind names said in this chapter, so there is no hate to who the names are going to.

Over the past few months my family and I have started to fit in and are no longer the new family. I've become one of the most popular girls in school but Nancy stayed as one of my closet friends. My other being Billy.

After I got into his car that one day, we got closer and closer and now we are really good friends. We hang out at eachothers houses and that's it because we have to hide it from Angela so she dosen't blow up at him.

Since my dad got a girlfriend he has been more active and fun to be around. He hasn't been like this since my mom passed away. I'm over the moon for him, but Amber hates her. Her name is Joyce and she is the sweetest. She has two boys and one of them is in Nancy's love triangle. His name is Jonathan and he is really nice. Will is the kindest little kid I have ever met, but there is something off about him. About the whole family really.

"Y/N hurry up! Dad won't let me head to Heather's until you leave!" Amber yells up at me. "Be patient will you!?" I yell back pulling on my black ripped jeans and my metallica t-shirt.

I run to the bathroom, so Amber doesnt yell at me again, and quickly do my hair and makeup. When I'm finished, I brush my teeth, put on my perfume and head downstairs.

"Look who's alive!" Dad jokes "Oh haha. Next time I'll just go to school in my pj's." I roll my eyes as I pop an ego into the toaster. "Oh! Y/N don't finish them too fast, there is an ego shortage for some reason. I didn't think they were that popular." He says biting his toast. I nod my head and grab my waffle.

"Let's go!" I mumble through the waffle.

When I get to Billy's house, I knock on the door and some naked mole rat person opens the door. Oh right thats Angela.

"What are you doing here? Just because you are becoming popular and stealing my place at the top, dosen't mean you can steal my boyfriend!" I wasn't in a very good mood today and she pulled this stunt!? "Oh, sorry! I was just returning his shirt! I found it under my bed" I reply snarkly handing her the shirt. She screeches like the banshee she is and slams the door on my face.

Guess that means no ride for me today I think to myself. As I'm walking away I can hear them yeling at eachother.

Max soon skates out and joins me. "Y/N I really do like you but that was messed up. My brother really likes her and as his bestfriend you should know that." She speeds up and leaves me in her dust.

"Y/N what the hell is wrong with you!" Billy yells at me, his fists clenching into tight balls. "What do you mean?" I act innocent. "The fuck you mean 'what do I mean' You know what I mean! She broke up with me because of you!" I slowly back up but he keeps walking forward. My back hits the wall and I flinch when he puts his hands on each side on my head.

"Answer me goddamit!" "I wasn't thinking! She pissed me off again and I wasn't thinking!" I yell back. He backs away from me, hurt in his eyes and says, "Next time think. We aren't friends anymore. Stay the fuck away from me." He jogs back into his gym class and knocks Steve Harrington on the ground.

I walk back to Nancy and tell her everything. We decide to skip the rest of the school day and go get ice cream.
