"You know, this upside down is almost like some messed up Wonderland, and we're all Alice. We found a hole went through and ended up in this new place. The only difference is we didn't end up in this colourful world of wonder, we wound up in this twisted world of nightmares."

Name: Melody Riley

Age: 16 (Season 1) 17-18 (Season 2 and 3) 19 (Season 4)

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Personality: She is normally pretty chill and laid back, though she can also be a bit cocky too at times, though that is very rare. Most of the time she's playful and carefree, albeit a little sensitive when it comes to insults. One trait that people take note of easily is her kind nature.

Crush: Steve Harrington (Open to OC x OC if yall want too) (dynamic: Acquaintances to friends to lovers)

Looks/Face claim: Shoulder length, messy, dirty blonde hair. Has pale-ish skin and freckles. She has green eyes, one eye being covered by her hair. She is average height, she also wears glasses.

Alternatively, Imagine Calamity Jane era Doris Day but slightly younger and with glasses.

Outfits or general style: T-shirts in a number of colours (Mainly grey, blue, white or black), a dark grey jacket with lighter grey sleeves, ripped jeans (Sometimes shorts or overalls) and dark pink converse. She also wears a black and white checkered belt, a rust colour hat with 2 little rings embedded into the brim and a dark purple bandanna worn around her neck like a scarf. Her outfits vary, always seeming casual, but the belt and scarf never change.

Backstory: 

Born and raised in Hawkins, she was known to be a friendly girl, even during her childhood, and in turn she had a group of friends. Her life was relatively normal until all the chaos of season 1 started. She had also been taken to the upside down just like Barb and Will, however, she managed to survive by hiding. When Nancy found the small gate to the upside down in the tree, Melly saw her and called to her to get her attention. Thanks to this, Nancy escaped along with Melly, who decided she was going to help the two of them when they planned to trap the Demogorgan.

Of course everything plays out as it had during the rest of season 1. Of course, when Steve found Nancy and Johnathan after they had set the trap in the Byers household, Melly had been with them and that's when she first met Steve.

She ended up going through all of the chaos and adventures the rest of the group went on after that.

She died during season 4.

Her room is full of different books, ranging from non-fiction books about history to fictional books such as fantasy and horror and crime novels.

Halloween is her favourite time of year because she hosts Halloween movie marathons for her friends to attend.

Fascinated by true crime cases. Like, someone could ask her about any case and she would prbably know at least a little bit about it.
