Okay, this scenario is kinda inspired by the movie Coraline (And yes, that movie used to give me nightmares when I was a kid, but let's not talk about that)
Basically, Our OCs and their crushes all move in together as a group, as it's easier money wise or something because they can split the rent or whatever between them. (Just thinking of a reason they all live together) They also have another roommate who really gets on their nerves or upsets them.
They move into an apartment where their neighbours are, interesting to say the least, but they aren't fond of them.
One day someone leaves a package for the four of them, which contains four dolls that look identical to them.
They think nothing of it at first, simply keeping the dolls for the sake of it or something. After a while the group find a small door hidden in their new home and open it up, though it seems to be bricked up. That is until something leads them back to the door that night, which now has a portal of sorts behind it.
Curious they go through, only to find a world just like theirs's but everything is better. The odd thing is there is alternate versions of everyone else apart from the main four, including their roommate, who greets them and is better than their real one.
But everything is not as it seems...
