I make my way to the barn with the others. As I pass through its doors, I take in the spectacle.
"Wow, we did this all in a day. Doesn't it remind you of our barn, Buck?" The atmosphere is electric. All around me, people are mingling, eating and clinking glasses together.
"It's beautiful. Hard to believe none of this was here this morning." Bucky looks around at the decorations.
"It feels so romantic."
"A little... You got those string lights up in the hayloft." I nodded. I make my way to the buffet line. When I finally get to the front, Laura piles food on my plate.
"Thanks Laura. It looks delicious."
"Don't thank me, thank Bucky. As soon as people heard he was the one working the smoker, the line doubled." Laura said, as she serves a guest.
"I don't blame them. I get Bucky cooking every day, three times a day, and my mouth is watering right now." I laughed.
"It turned out alright, didn't it?" Bucky said, taking his plate from Laura. Bucky and I find some empty seats and dig into our food, but before long... Country music rings through the barn. Couples start pairing off to dance. As I tap my foot, Bucky leans over to whisper in my ear.
"I don't know if it the music but being around you right now..."
"Well," I look in Bucky's eyes. "May I have this dance... Wanda?" I turn to her.
"I'll be honoured to be your dancing partner." Wanda takes my hand and practically drags me onto the floor. Bucky watches from the table envious.
"Didn't know you have moves, Wanda?"
"How do you think I got Vision." She laughs. I catch Bucky eye from across the dance floor and I make a come hither motion, diguised as a dance move. Bucky waste no time in making his way over.
"Mind if I cut in?" Bucky taps on Wanda shoulder.
"By all means; show us how it's done." Bucky snag me by the waist and spins me away. He pulls me closer, his hips pressing up against me.
"Well now you just showing off." I giggle.
"Does that mean you're impressed?"
"I'd rather see some of your other moves if you know what I mean," I pull him in to whisper. As the last notes of the song fade to silence, Bucky pulls me over to a secluded corner of the barn.
"All this teasin... I need you, y/n. I can't keep my hands off you any longer."
"What do you suggest we do? We're already pushing our luck."
"If we slipped outside for a few songs, no one would know that is if you're game to go exploring" Bucky eyes darken with desire. The tether between us is pulled so taught, I may snap from the tension. Bucky and I slip at the back of the barn and into the shunshine. "C'mon this way," Bucky pulled me by my hand, leading us in to the adjacent cornfield. The life of the party is carried away by a passing breeze. "No one should come looking for us out here."
"But isn't the treat of getting caught half the fun?"
"Not what I expected you to say, I ain't going to lie."
"Well, I might look like a good girl on the outside, but underneath all that..." I press a kiss on Bucky neck, biting down lightly on his soft skin.
"You like it more dangerous then you let on, hmm?"
"You haven't seen the half of it." I capture his lower lip, between my teeth, relishing his groan against my mouth. Bucky kisses me fiercely, pulling me so close that there isn't an inch between us.
