" Well isn't it my arch nemesis Jay!"

The dove popped out from behind the seat infront of the blue ninja and flapped his wings. Confusion went over Jay. At first he seemed to get up his defenses, before realizing it was the same man as the one who stared at him with admiration just an hour ago.

He softened, knowing the dove wasn't going to hurt him, but then he realized.

Wait, arch nemisis? I've never seen this guy in my life!

"The ninja of lightening!" Fugidove continued, eagerly awaiting the response of his enemy

Jays confusion all piled up at once. "Sorry — have we met?" He asked, he rather had extreme memory loss or he was talking to someone on the crazy side.

"Oh you probably don't recognize me in my prison clothes. It is I, Fugidove!" He chirped, saying the words aloud like a badge of honor.

The ninja gave him a look of utter curiosity mixed with confusion, and a bit of judging. He cringed when he heard the criminal infront of him coo and make dove noises.

Fugidove started to let his guard down, seeing the awkward look on his rivals face. "My cry — fills the night?"

The dove was interrupted when the prison guards blew the whistle, telling him to hush up and then explained what they were doing, the truck then pulled out of the prison and started going down the road.

Jay stared out the window, seeing the desert stretch on for miles. He brushed his hand through his curls. His mind trailing off.

He thought about the man — what was his name again ? — oh right, Fugidove.

Jay settled on an assumption, he was probably a low level criminal that was in a tiny gang he didn't remember ever fighting, and just assumed they were rivals.

Although it was a little cute how he moved his wings along and flapped them accordingly, it was clear the dove had a surprising admiration for the ninja, although Jay couldn't figure out why. He also couldn't figure out why he was even giving this guy a thought, they had much more pressing matters to be worrying about.

He sighed and faced forward, before realizing Fugidove was staring right at him, the same look he saw that morning was staring him right in the eyes.

" Ergh — Yes ? " The ninja asked, starting to becoming a little bit annoyed with the criminal infront of him, although he spoke in a more rude tone then he meant.

Fugidove sighed. "What happened to you Jay ? "

" What do you mean ? " Jay asked, almost a little offended that someone he didn't even know was judging his character.

"Why have you turned to a life of crime?" The dove questioned, fidgeting with his wings and seeming to be a little bit disappointed. He had expected there to be a major showdown, but none of it seeming to be true.

Even though this wasn't what Fugidove had expected, he was still excited to be speaking — to be having a conversation with JAY! He blushed violently and tapped his foot on the seat.

" — And what does this mean for our long standing rivalry ? ! " Fugidove had been wondering and waiting to ask that question the second the ninja entered the prison.

" how can we be enemies if we're both criminals!" He sighed, confusion and frustration in his voice.

"Your messing everything up!" He used his wings and lightly smacked Jays face side to sice while speaking, afterwards peeking back under his seat.
