4 - Bluejay

𝙼𝚒𝚍𝚍𝚕𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙳𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚛𝚝

The dove had hidden in one of the boxes inside of this strange van. He appeared unnoticed. Fugidove could hear the ninjas talking, almost relieved.

" They should be " the dove thought, the ninja would think they had gotten away from his terrifying nature, but he was right there next to him!

But Fugidove had started to .. think. The problem was that he and Jay couldn't be enemies if they were both criminals. But how was he supposed to get the attention of Jay if he wasn't his arch nemisis?

That's when it hit him.

What if they were partners!

They could be Fugidove and — BlueJay! Because Jay is Jay, and a bluejay is a bird! His color is also blue! It's perfect!

The dove could barely hold in his excitement, he was waiting for the right moment to show to his Bluejay that he was still right here with him!

He waited rather impatiently as the ninja talked about this Pixial person and all this other boring stuff — blah blah new suits — blah blah building things fast — wait? New clothes ?!

This was the doves time as he thought, he cooed of excitement and bursted out of the box he was hiding in. " Did you bring one for me Dareth ? "

He had learned over his excellent listening that the man's name was Dareth, but Dareth obviously knew who he was! Fugidove was famous!

Fugidove excitedly looked over to see his little BlueJay's reaction, he seemed shocked, but annoyed, but the dove didn't mind. He was just excited to be there with the person he treasured the most. " What are you doing here ? ! " The ninja shouted after a couple seconds of processing.

Fugidove decided it was a perfect moment to propose his new idea, "Your new at being a criminal, you're going to need some guidance if you have any hope of succeeding in your criminal plot!" Fugidove peeped.

Jay started rambling on about how he wasn't going to become a criminal, all of which flew over the dove's head, he was focused on his previous rivals eyes, full of emotion, and so deep that it was mesmerizing. The dove felt a light blush go over his face as he stared intensely, all until the sound of police sirens caught his attention.

The car started to turn, as the ninja desperately tried to get away from the police.

Fugidove got his great teaching skills ready.

" This my little Jay-Bird is called a high speed chase. It's what we criminals do! It will add to your sentence if caught, so I would like to plan weeeelllll ahead!"

Jay looked over at him with a sort of mixed expression. He was almost insulted by how the dove explained things like he was a huge idiot that needed all these criminal things explained to him, but seeing Fugidove rambling on about these things, that he seemed passionate about, even though they were ILEGAL, was cute in a way, Jay gave him a soft smile, which he never expected he would do only five minutes ago.

The moment was interrupted when the car spun and they hauled to a stop, the ninja all piling out of the car and checking out the problem. They decided on going to head away from the car, trying to relocate and find anything besides the endless sand of the desert.

" We should probably go before Jay's little boyfriend gets a earful of this — " Kai chuckled, clearly trying to pick fun at his friend. Although he was serious, in trying to get the dove off their tail feathers.

" He's not my boyfriend - ! " Jay yelled, his face red from embarassment. " He's just — very very interested in me I think . " Jay explained, giving Kai the very reaction he'd hoped for.

The ninja had all piled onto the desert, practically dying of heat stroke and the loss of water, was about ready to make them all collapse.

Although Jay had gotten a little warmed up to his little bird friend, he was relieved at the peace and silence he was getting, there was no sign of the dove on all directions.

Or atleast there WAS

" Anyone have any idea where we are ? " Kai panted, about ready to give up.

Out of no where the dove popped up from behind Jay.

" Not a clue ! "

Shock hit through the tiny ninja like a bullet, he fell to the ground from being startled and turned around to see Fugidove looking down on him. " Wha — Wher — ... how... " was all Jay could muster out.

Fugidove held himself back from giggling,

"I am like the dove — quick , silent , deadly!" Fugidove chirped, looking at his Jay and giving a way over the top giddy smile.

" Doves aren't deadly ! " Jay yelled, his voice cracking from the dehydration.

" Not your type of doves!"

"NONE of them are deadly! — Doves are a symbol of peace — and love . " Jay mustered out, quickly after being startled once again by Llloyd taping onto his shoulder, telling him to focus.

"Right" The blue ninja thought, they were in a desert, staying on focus would be the best for —

Moments later the dove was lightly hitting the ninja with his wings, chasing him around and laughing

" Come here Jayyy ~ " The dove cooed, continuesly flapping his wings and hitting the ninja, as he ran away yelling. The blue ninja gave his fellow teammates a help me look, which was utterly ignored.

The day had turned night and the ninja were barely avading capture. They discussed about splitting up and meeting at Twitchy's gas station, to which the groups were settled.

Fugidove of course butted in.

" and I will of course accompany Jay!" He fiddled with Jay's face as he popped up from behind him, blushing with excitement.

"Of course — you'll just .. be there anyway." The ninja nervously chuckled.

The groups started to walk away from eachother, as the dove happily skipped along with the little group they were going with. He cooed excitedly, almost in disbelief he was on a real mission with Jay. He let out one last little noise as he shouted. "My cry fills the night!" Into the dark breeze of the moonlit desert.

Jay walked behind the group trailing them. He stopped when he heard the dove, having to had put up with his shenanigans the entire day, he almost just lost it.

" Will you please — SHUT UP!"

but of course, Fugidove knew he was just stressed from the situation they were in, he knew the ninja loved him just as much as the dove loved Jay.
