6 - Quivering

𝚃𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑𝚢'𝚜 𝙷𝚞𝚝

The dove squirmed on the ground as he quickly got tackled roughly by the police officers. He kicked and grunted as his energy started to deplete while more and more started to pile on top of the boy.

Eventually he couldn't withstand it anymore, and gave in. He tiredly submitted as the police officers handcuffed and arm locked him, as they brought him out the door.

He squinted his eyes and looked away as the sun beated onto him, suddenly the heat felt deathening and the sun felt blinding like it never did before. Things were different now.

"Hey! We need a ride you shitbags!" Fudigove hessitantly opened his eyes to see two police cars speeding away. One was filled with police men chasing — the ninja.

They escaped.

They escaped.

The tired eyes and body heat seemed to evaporate from his body, he puckered up once again and let out a little cheer. He had succeeded, and the ninja — Jay — got out.

" Ugh — come on you freak! " The policeman groaned as he pulled Fugidove along by his feathers. " Hey ! Get your hands off of Fugidove! " the bird shouted.

" Ugh — I guess we'll have to call in some help. " the policemen spoke to the others. " They up and left us! "

Fugidove was pulled over to a shady part on the deck of the store, where all the cops watched and waited for someone to get their signal and come and gift them a lift. Meanwhile Fugidove was staring up at the clouds.

He looked over at the policemen, most of which were sleeping. " Hey! " he shouted. No response.

"Listen to Fugidove!" He screeched. They popped awake. "Shut up!" One of them shouted, he had pale skin, and a balding head. He walked over to the dove and gave him a cold kick to the face.

Fugidove gasped in surprise; the air being knocked out of him. He fell to the ground panting.

" Woa! " One of the other policemen shook awake and came over. " We aren't allowed to do this, this guy is a convicted criminal, what if he retaliates?"

Fugidove quivered from bellow the two officers, before he realized.. he was fugidove , previous arch nemesis of master of lightning, current greatest villain, these officers had nothing on him.

With that the dove jumped up and sprinted, with his arms still locked behind his back he couldn't move as fast as he wanted, but he was practically gliding across the sand.

Within milliseconds the cops all took off after him, Fugidove heard yelling, screaming, and even some gun shots.

The cracking through the air the shots made shook him to his core, puncturing his lungs. Because suddenly the adrenaline started to deteriorate. The confidence was starting to leave him as the realization he could be shot and killed started to take the priority.

Ninjago cops weren't suppose to have guns, and Fugidove could've sworn a moment ago they didn't, but these cops were disobeying, they wanted him dead.

With his adrenaline gone, Fugidove's legs started to get slower, and eventually, they dropped.

He heard yelling from behind him, and eventually felt himself being dragged across the sand back to Twitchy's. But he felt his eyes shutting, and he blacked out.

" Hey! Wake up! " A scraggly voice shouted. Fugidove felt light tapping on his face, which turned into light slapping, and eventually some water being poured onto his head.

He shot up. The last thing he remembered was falling, and the fear was still remaining in his body.

Fugidove was panicked, looking around anxiously. " Where is Jay ? ! — am I dead ?! — What's going on ?! — Where is Jay?!" He flapped his wings repeatedly, before he was stopped by the man in-front of him.

"First off, your simply just back in prison, look around. Second off, the cops just brought you in here to return you, nothing special, and third, what's your weird obsession with Jay?" The man scoffed.

" Weird obsession ? ! " he's my criminal sidekick, previous arch nemesis! He's strong, brave and —" Fugidove was interrupted by the man. " I wouldn't call him brave, he was screaming like a banshee when I pretended to be Wojira.

" Your names Wojira? Maybe your the strange one, that's the name of a sea god!" Fugidove mockingly scoffed.

The man felt himself getting annoyed, regretting waking the dove up. "No, the names Ronin." He gritted between his teeth.

"Hey Ronin! Check the news!" Ultra Violet called over from a TV section the prisoners were allowed to have. They had been somewhat behaved, so they got about an hour a day with screentime.

Ronin left Fugidove to think, and walked over to where UltraViolet was sitting. Fugidove, having no idea what to do, eventually followed.

The news showed pictures of the ninja all over it, presenting their escape from prison and asking for any information on them. Fugidove sighed, looking at the photo of Jay, already missing his sidekick.

Something about the blue ninja had always stuck with the dove, he stood out, even from when Fugidove wasn't a feared criminal yet, he had always wanted to be noticed somehow by him.

That's why he became a criminal, he never admitted it, but he wanted attention from Jay Walker. Attention he didn't know why he desired, but regardless he still needed it.

With the newfound hours he got with Jay the previous days, he felt like something was — wrong. He was back in prison, and Jay was back outdoors. That was wrong. How were an unstoppable couple — or — duo, suppose to work together if they're separated ? !

Fugidove walked away from the TV, and back to his cell, his cellmates weren't there so he had a bit of peace and quiet, he layed down in his uncomfortable bed and sighed. The best couple of days we're going to be dull, like always.

Fugidove could not have been more wrong.

A new chapter! Wow, feels strange to write one after like two months. This chapter was a bit shorter than I wanted it to be, but I have organized the events of each chapter into five chapters planned, so hopefully the next one will be longer, if you want a sneak peek on what it is about, then continue reading. But if you simply want to wait, or if the chapter is already out, then  skip this if you want.

The Next chapter will cover escaping the prison, it was not shown in the series, as well as this chapter was not, but a LOT of this second half of the story will have its own spin on it, because Fugidove and Jay didn't interact at.. all in Crystallized part two, so I'm making my own interactions.
