After the two groups of ninja had split up, they took a little bit of rest behind some boulders. Waking up bright and early to assure they wouldn't be left behind by the others was — a little irritating, atleast for Jay.
"Jay! Jay!" The dove shouted from behind him, walking almost on his heels. It took a lot of willpower for the ninja not to just run away into the nothingness of the desert, to escape from the constant noise.
If he really wanted to, he could just put in some earplugs, or start a conversation with the other ninjas, but some part of Jay was — fascinated.
Hearing the rambling of random little stories Fugidove told throughout the day, and the fact someone was so desperate for his attention was — cute.
The way the dove flapped his wings around — and how he seemed so fixated on the ninjas eyes so often, not to mention the way he just always jumps right back up, cooing like an idiot, Jay just seemed to — have gotten used to it.
He turned his attention over to Fugidove, who was doing some form of acrobatics infront of the ninja to get his attention, he watched as the dove kept shouting his name, at this point completely unaware that Jay was already looking at him.
Jay was about to look away and continue mindlessly walking to the desert, until he realized he — couldn't. Something was drawing his eyes towards the dove, he didn't understand what force this was, but he was interested in learning more about him.
The desert started to feel engulfing, like it was swallowing him up, the heat was increasing and his body temperatures were shooting through the roof — but — why now?
The ninja was confused, this bird seemed to be doing stuff to him — he decided to finally answer the cries and calling the dove was chanting. " What ?! " was all he could shout before he realized how badly he was sweating, he almost looked crazy. His mind was going elsewhere and the heat was the only way he could rationalize it.
On the other hand, the dove was ecstatic at the ninja answering him, he could barely speak his words he had been waiting to say for what felt like decades. "If your serious about being a villian, you'll need a villian catchphrase." Fugidove chirped.
Jay could only sigh, "I'm not becoming a criminal .. " he had said it around 1,000 times that day, and something told him that was only a quarter of how many times he was gonna say it in the future.
Fugidove started to give Jay some ideas about catchphrases, something loud to catch your attention.
"Like this!" The dove did his signature cooing noise as he went infront of Jay. "But not that — cause that's mine!" Fugidove did a little proud pose and did a little smirk.
He didn't even notice it drove Jay insane.
The ninja's body tempature was exploding, somt hint about that little excuse for a criminal and his adorab — weird cooing — and the way he looked so proud and — it just made Jay feel —
"How about this for a catchphrase! Leave me alone!" Jay rushed infront to get to Cole and Kai, "Are we at Twitchys yet?" He asked, his voice seeming tired but impatient.
" What? Is your little friend not giving you enough company ? " Cole smirked, hearing Lloyd give a little laugh. Jay was about to explode at them until —
"We're a lot alike — " Fugidove popped out from behind them, startling Jay to his very core. "Which is why I've decided to make you — Jay — ninja of lightning — my criminal sidekick!" Fugidove proudly shouted.
