HENRY SAT near the burning fire located in front of the cave. "So, I got something to tell you," Maya said sitting on a log.

"Is it good or bad news?" Kayla raised her eyebrows questioningly. "Well good news?" She replied, biting her lip visibly nervous.

"Does it have anything to do with us getting out of here?" Henry said sharply. Whenever he was mad, he usually replied with his impulses, Kayla knew he was still pissed about Maya and Maisie running off... It had been only a day since they found each other again, so the argument was still fresh.

Maya paused before speaking, "No..."

"Then we don't need to hear it."

"Calm down dickhead." Someone called from the cave, presumably Maisie.

"Why don't we all take a breather okay?" Kaya smiled calmly, watching as Maisie sat down next to her girlfriend.

"What do you think we're doing, Kayla?"

"Arguing."

"And guess what? Breathing... so special, right?" Henry tilted his head with a smug smile.

"Wow I never knew you were such a dick... guess Maisie's teases are right." Kayla stood up and started to walk away only to be stopped by Henry. This fight was not going to end without someone getting the last word and Henry knew he was going to be the one get it.

"You want to go?" He bit his lip to drown out some of his anger unsuccessfully.

Maya's jaw fell agape at Henry's outburst. He was asking to fight Kayla--the girl who he liked since like forever... "Hey-" Maisie got up from off the log trying to intervene, she stood up a little too quickly because she felt a sharp pain in her ribs—causing her to scrunch her face.

"I can't believe I kissed a suck-up like you." Kayla spat at him; those words echoed through his head like a virus. His face softened and his anger grew thin, the only emotion he was feeling now was regret.

"Wait you two kissed?" Maya got up, now arm to arm with Maisie who had calmed down from her recent outburst of pain.

"Yeah, and I fucking regret it." She smiled at him, looking in his eyes with a death stare in result of Henry's actions.

"Kayla I'm sorry..."

She laughed at him, "you're always fucking sorry. Just drop the whole running off argument because clearly yelling about it isn't going to do Jack shit. Also, maybe you should clean your act while you're at it huh? Walking around like you own the god damn place."

Maisie grabbed the spear Maya had made the other day, it was on the ground somewhere so she had to look for it.

"What are you doing?" Maya whispered watching her.

Kayla was still rambling in the background about Henry to his face. "Someone is here." Maisie squinted her eyes to the trees.

"Shouldn't we tell them?" The blonde asked glancing at the heated argument.

"Shh." Maisie whispered and threw the steak to the tree, hearing someone fall down from a branch not too high up.

When Kayla and Henry heard the thump, they immediately stopped talking while Maisie ran to the person and Maya followed after her of course.

"Ouch?" A British boy pulled the wood chunk out of his leg, looking at Maisie who was perched over him. "Good aim, eh?"

"Who the fuck are you?" She crossed her arms.

"Name's Theadore love." he smiled.

"Don't call her love." Maya rolled her eyes.

"I'm gay, Lad." He groaned from the pain in his leg.

"Fuck-shit-sorry." Maya stuttered as Kayla and Henry reached the three.

"Hey at least you know another "British person" so you can stop calling me Queen Mary now." Maisie smirked at the others.

"Why were you watching us?" Henry bent down and grabbed the other boys collar, lifting his torso a few inches off the ground.

"Woah oi, big boy, don't get your trousers in a mess ay? I'm just a scot."

"For who?" Kayla added, and Theodore turned to her.

"Just a camp nearby," He explained Turing to Maya, "That guy who was following you in the woods? Yeah he was a scout too. Too bad he got fuckin eaten by biosyn."

"Biosyn?" Maisie's face went blank.

"Yeah, you don't know? Those fuckers are controlling those bloody beasts. Killed over ten of my people." Theodore added feeling Henry's grip leave his shirt. He caught himself with his elbows.

"You're one strong lad." The teen said, standing up wincing.

"Holy shit- holt shit." Maisie started to walk off.

"She good or-?"

"Maisie, wait up." Maya ran off into the woods where her girlfriend went.

"There they go again." Henry whispered harshly placing his hands on his hips.

"I'm not doing this right now." Maisie kept walking (she was really speed walking too be honest.)

"Tell me what's wrong." Maya grabbed the other girls shoulder making her face her.

"Biosyn ruins everything! God fucking damn. I can't have a normal life—they just-keep coming back and I'm so tired of it—now my parents are out there too, and they probably don't even know about it so that's just amazing right?" She waved her arms sarcastically and Maya grabbed them, intertwining her fingers with Maisie's.

"Listen, your parents will be fine."

"How do you know that?"

"Because I do, Maisie. I love you with every fiber in my body. Nothing is going to happen."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." She smiled, "now lets get back."

"Fine." Maisie muttered "sorry for freaking out."

"Hey, don't be sorry there's nothing to apologize for." Maya let go of Maisie's hands and started to walk back to the others.
