Chapter 15

Tay was waiting for Win in the college’s library by reading a book as the latter said he want to talk about something. Soon Win came with a book and sit across from him. They stared at each other for one minute and looked down as if they felt ashamed looking at each other.

“I’m sorry...” quickly they looked back at their eyes as soon as they said the same word in unison and looked down again with a sigh.

“I want to say...” again said in union, with a glance and started roaring in laugh until the librarian scolded them.

Sending an apologetic smile, Tay speak up first afraid their brothers would find them,

“You go first.”

With a nervous expression, he started talking, “I don't know how to say this but I really have to say it... I’m sorry to say this but I want us to go on our own. I already fall for someone and want to spend ...”

“Bright?” Tay interrupted feeling hurt.

“Yes, he is so cold, don't you think? He is so understanding, caring boyfriend. He is so handsome, more than anyone I've meme till now and has so calm personality, and...” and he groaned with his hands hiding his face, “Ang... He is so cold.” he said smiling with his dreamy eyes.

“Oh... He is?” Tay was about to cry, after dating so long his boyfriend was admiring and talking stuff like this in front of him as if he wasn't his lover. It's hurting him so much but what can he do, other than sit and listened?

“Yes, and do you know...” Win was about to start his rant again but stopped when Tay got up from his seat and started gathering his things.

“I forgot, Dad told me to come home earlier today, so... See you?” Tay said calming himself from shouting.

“Oh, okay...” Win looked disappointed as the other was eager to go when he wanted to tell him about his boyfriend, “but you said you want to say something.”

“Oh, it's nothing... I wanted to take you on a date and watch this film at the cinema but...” Tay said looking down but Win interrupted him,

“Oh! That movie!” he exclaimed, “I almost forget. I will have to ask Bright to go and watch this weekend with me.” with that without spearing a glance he run out of the library.

Tay sat down again lettering out a long sigh along with his tears which were threatened to fall earlier.

“Why? Am I not good enough? Am I not handsome enough for your taste? I think I'm not a caring and understanding person. But it hurts so much.” he mumbled as he let his silent tear fall.

Sitting there for about twenty minutes he get up and went back home. His father and his stepmother came to him when he reached with his torn-out expression with worried. It didn't help much when his eyes are puffy with red. But he didn't speak a word. The distance between Tay and Bright became more noticeable than before. Their useless argument had become heated that they were about to get physical. The sudden large distance was already noticed by the other family members but they didn't say anything as they thought it was not the time.

Singto already introduced Krist on weekdays to their parent and he heard they were talking about something like marriage. It was the weekend which Singto had gone with Krist on a date same goes for Bright. And Tay was currently sitting in the living room, staring at the front day, he looked like he didn't seem to know what he was doing. Seeing his son state, Push and Esther had made a plane and Push approached Tay who was floating on regret in his world.

“Tay... Tay dear... Tay.” he put his hand on his son's shoulder and called him. Seeing that his son didn't show any reaction he slightly shakes the younger’s body, “Tay... Tay dear...”

“Oh! Dad.” Tay responded with a startled and mumbled himself when he saw where is he, “Why did I'm here? When did I...”

“You forget our plan. How disappointed?” Push pouted dramatically with his hand on his chest.

“What planned, Dad? I don't remember any plans making with you.” Tay asked extremely confused.

“Didn’t we agree to go to cemina and shopping today? You, me and your mum.”  Push said unfolding his hands and putting them on his hips.

“Oh! Dad, I totally forgot. Please wait here for a moment.” with that he run away with a smile, even though he didn't remember making any plans he was glad that he had someone to spend time with. He’s been lonely after breaking up with Win.

After five minutes Push and Tay were riding the car to the cinema with Esther in the back.

“So do you have a girlfriend?” Push broke the silence in the car.

“I was dumped, Dad last Monday,” Tay replied feeling as if his heart was broken all over again. Push and Esther shared a looked.

“Who is that that doesn't see my son's hands...”

“Bright’s boyfriend and Dad I’m not handsome.”

“I don't understand.” Push said confused.

“I and Win were dating almost three months and he confessed to Bright because of a stupid dare from his brothers and they started dating even though I show him I'm interested in Win but Bright accepted him, ignoring me. So Win and I stayed dating behind their back all these months but last Monday he told me he wanted to break up and ranted me about how good Bright is. I...”

“Why don't you tell us if Bright?” Push interrupted Tay.

“If I tell anyone Bright will hear about this and he might break up with his boyfriend. I don't want him to be sad so I...”

“But, you? Aren't you sad?” Esther for the first time asked interrupting the younger.

“I do, it's really hurt. and I know how it's felt but I don't want my brother or my family to feel hurt.” Tay said calmly, holding up his tears and looking outside.

“Don’t worry, dear. There is always someone who truly loves you.” Push comforted his son by putting his hand on his shoulder with a little sequence.

Then he saw New with Off entering the amusement park when they passed by which gave him an idea. With a smirk, he responded,

“Yes dad, there is.”

Push and Esther looked at each other before Esther changed the subject.

“So how was yesterday night? You guys seemed pretty close with my father.”
