"Not to worry, your highness!" Luz said, putting her sword in the sheath attached to her belt. "I'm here to protect you!" She winks at the princess, Amity. The princess smiles.

"Come here, commander Noceda." She says, sitting on her throne.

"Yes, your highness?" Luz steps closer.

"Just, please don't get hurt. Not on my behalf." She shakes her head, grabbing Luz's hand.

"No promises, Princess." Luz chuckles.

"Please, commander." Amity, squeezes Luz's hand. "I can't lose you.. I just can't.."

Luz keeps thinking about her dream, how clear it was. It would be fun to be a knight for a princess. It was funny to her how the princess in her dream happened to be Amity.

What wasn't funny to her was that Amity now had to leave.

"I just don't get it!" Luz protests as she helps her friend pack.

"Well, me neither. But I'm not surprised or anything." Amity shrugs. "I guess I'll see you next week?"

"Yeah, I guess." Luz grumbles. Amity's older siblings show up to help her with her stuff, so Luz is left contemplating what to do with herself all week.

She's walking through the halls, trying to focus on her classes instead of how Amity is doing. But she hasn't responded to her texts yet. She runs directly into someone, and backs up, apologizing. 

"Watch it." He snaps, and Luz narrows her eyes at the blonde, tired looking sophomore.

"Maybe you should watch your attitude." She blows a raspberry and then continues on her way to third period.

"Luz, what the heck!" Willow rushes up to her.

"What? He was mean." Luz replies.

"That's Hunter Wittebane." She says in a warning tone. "His uncle slash guardian is the headmaster of the Emperor's University, and that boy can get whatever he wants. He could get you expelled."

"No wonder his attitude sucks. He must be lonely." Luz exclaims.

"Just.. don't talk back to him. It isn't worth it." Willow shakes her head.

"Huh.. alright then, I guess."

"I can't believe Amity's gone for a week, and all she's gonna be able to do when she gets back is pack for winter break." Luz sighs, laying upside down on Willow's bed.

"Really missing her, huh?" Gus teases.

"What?" 

"Nothing." Gus responds. Willow giggles a bit.

"Well, she'll be back in like twenty minutes." Willow says. "We should head to your dorm to wait."

"Okay!" Luz jumps up, rushing out the door and down the hall. Her, Gus, and Willow sit on her bed watching my little pony until the door slowly opens. Luz shuts her computer, standing up quickly as the three green haired kids come into veiw.

"Amity!" Luz exclaims, rushing up to the girl in crutches and hugging her.

"Woah, Luz. Don't kill me." Amity laughs.

"Right, right. Sorry."

Everything went by so fast. Now Luz was already on a plane back to connecticut. She was watching TInker Bell, one of Amity's favorites. 

Amity.

No, Luz. Stop it.

Luz is rushing through the airport, on the phone with her mom as she navigates to where they're supposed to meet up.

"Mami!" Luz exclaims, shoving her phone in her pocket and dragging her suitcase over to her mom. She receives one of the biggest hugs she's ever received. 

"Oh Luz. I missed you so much! How was school? Are your friends well?" 

"I missed you too, mom." Luz smiles. "They're awesome." She nods. "My roommate, Amity, is really nice. And my two other friends are Gus and Willow. They're awesome! Maybe you can meet them someday!"

"I would love to."
