23: Nightmares.

(I apologize how on long this took- school and stuffs, so- expecting way slower updating-)

You let out a sigh. "I dont think I'm going to that dinner."
"You better not." Moon scowled. "-Besides, You have work to do tomorrow, Dont you?"

And then, You finally heard the sound of a car, drive away.
"Yeah.. Roxy."
Freddy came up to you. "Y/n! Gregory wanted to know if you have any Movie snacks here, But, Was a tad too embarrassed to ask."
"Yes I do! Follow me FazFather!"
He stood there confused for a second, before following you, as you make your way to the kitchen.

You reached for a high cabinet, swinging it open with ease. Bunches of snacks were showcased.
"Yeah- If Gregory was looking, he probably wouldn't find it- the snacks are Pre-tty high up."
"Well, Thank you Y/n!-"
"Hey Freddy? Could I- Ask you a question real quick?"

He paused for a second, a gentle smile starting to form. "Of course!"
"How uh- How 'Humane' would you say you guys are?"
"Interesting thing to ask Y/n! Well... I'd say, we're pretty much the closest a person could get to actual A.I! Now it does depend, like the security bots! Or janitors! They are definitely not that intelligent..."

"What about... Like- Emotion wise?".
"Emotion wise? Well, I'd say we all pretty much have all the same as you! Of course, Some of us experience more human like traits than others..."
"For Example...?"
"The Daycare Attendant! They actually wear clothes! Not that its needed, but it improves the design, dont you think?"

"Hm... Neat to know!"
"Why'd you ask?"
"Ah... I mean... Curiosity. Technology has always intrigued me!"
'... Not really. But its the best excuse I can think of.'
"I best be going back to Gregory, Dont want to keep him hungry!"
"I'll come with! A movie sounds like fun!"

You grab a few wanted snacks, as Freddy leaves with some popcorn for Gregory.
Not long after, you went to watch the movie a long with everyone. They were watching 'The Conjuring 2'

Freddy was sitting on the couch next to Gregory, Chica Standing by them. Moon was sitting in a corner, Roxy stood behind the couch.
About 3 seconds after you entered the room, you heard Roxy yell.

"ARE THEY HAVING SEX?! WHAT ARE THESE NOISES??"
"Roxy- They arent-" Chica Began, but got cut off by Moon.
"Its definitely a sex scene."
"WHAT THE HELL?! WHY HASN'T ANYONE SKIPPED THIS PART?! THERE IS A CHILD WATCHING."
"The kid needs to learn one way or another, dont you think?" Moon responded.

As a quick reminder, There wasnt a sex scene.

Freddy joined in. "You're already standing Roxanne, Why dont you get the remote?"
"Im, MISSING EYES? Im sorry, Being Blind is one thing, But i'm FUCKING LACKING in the eye department Freddy. I swear... When I get my sight back.." She growled.

You let out an overdramatic gasp. "Roxanne Wolf! The LANGUAGE!"
"Really? REALLY?! LANGUAGE IS WHERE WE CROSS THE LINE?"
Some... Noise, (that you couldn't make out very well, all you know, was it shocked you.) came from the Tv. A Scream.
"There wasnt a sex scene." Gregory adds bluntly. "-Please, Keep the conversation to a MINIMUM?! Im trying to be scared!" He says with a pout.

That night, The movie didnt scare you. But, for some reason, You still got a nightmare. It was lucid, and very vivid.
Whats up with all these nightmares? You barely ever got nightmares.

What was it? Glad you 'asked'.

You were back at your old house. In your old room. It was empty, except for the bed. You were tightly hugging a plush, except it wasnt a plush. Thats what your mind kept saying it was, it wasnt... Anything... You were frozen. Unable to move.

The portal from before was there, but something was fighting to get out. The portal quickly closed, leaving you there, in 'the real world. '
You were alone. The house was empty. Then, falling.
And falling...
And falling...
You did have wings, But they were broken.
You were getting closer to the ground, a dirty puddle. Your muscles released, and you could move once again.

Right before you hit the bottom, Your eyes shot open. And you were standing in a void, ... Things... Reaching their hands to grab you. A strung wall keeping you protected. But the strings slowly snapped. And the 'animals' got closer, and closer. You felt a cold hand wrap around your ankle, pulling you into darkness.

Then you awoke. Your eyes fluttered open, Adjusting to the darkness. It was quiet, Moon was powered off, charging. You could faintly hear the sound of a clock ticking.
'What time is it...? '

Believe it or not, you were a tad scared. The darkness was uncomfortable, and the clock ticking came to a stop. Now without having a sound to focus on, Various creaks from the house was heard.

You laid there, for what felt like an hour. But you wouldn't be surprised if it was only 20 minutes.
There was a quiet sound of mechanisms, But it seemed much louder because of the stillness surrounding you.
Nausea settled in your stomach.

It was a tad comforting to have the idea in mind, that Moon may power on soon.
Sooner than you thought, his eyes flickered a bright lighted red.
It took only seconds for him to look over to you.

"You're awake."
"In a way, so are you MoonMan."
"I always power on after I finish charging."
"How long does it take you to charge?"
"About an hour."
"Annddd...?"
"Its 2:47am, I was talking to Sun for awhile."

You pause, holding your breath for a second. "Talking?"
"Arguing."
"Right-"
"Why are you up?"

You slightly chew on the inside of your cheek, contemplating what to say. "Well, I woke up from a dream, and couldn't back fall asleep."
"Are you okay?"
"Mhm." He glared at you, waiting for a different answer. You let out a sigh, and continued to speak. "Did you scan me or something?"

"Correct."
"Alright then, Im not okay then- I feel nauseous."
"Your heart rate is up aswell."
"Oh, thats nothing new."
Half the time your around the daycare attendant, your heart rate is up. Gosh, just a few days ago you could hear your heart hammering into your chest.

"What kind of dream was it?"
"A bad one."
"Again?"
You couldn't say, 'Yup. Ever since I arrived to this universe.... ' So you came up with something else.
"Ever since the plex became 'news worthy' I've been having them more often."

He stood up, Unplugging the charger while doing so. Making his way over to you. He stared at you for a few seconds, letting out a small hum.
Moon leaned over you slightly, You were on your side, facing away from him.
He gently tucked a stray hair behind your ear, Again, Making your heart rate go up. Moon visibly grinned at this.

He started to play a sweet, calming melody for you. Sitting beside the bed. Leaning on the wall. He stopped his tune for a moment.
"Would you like a Moondrop?"
"You still have those?"
His chest opened up, a small basket inside. Filled with his candies. He grabbed a handful, putting most in his pockets.
Standing up, and placing on in front of you.
"I do."

You sat up, the candy in your hands. "Oh. Neat." Unwrapping it carefully, Moon watched as you popped it in your mouth, setting the wrapper on your bedside.
The candy melted sweetly in your mouth. It tasted like... Blueberries and... Lavender. It was sweet, but not grossly.
"Thank you." You muttered out. And he continued his song, sitting back down.
You got comfortable, in a sleeping position of course, hugging a pillow tightly.

It didnt take long, for you to drift off.
