Ch.16: The Trio and Hate

A/N: TW/CW: Anger issues.

I carried a small bag of candies as I began to approach the Hufflepuff common room. I haven't talked to the twins in a while, not much since the snow fight. Smiles and waves were the only things exchanged for the most part. I decided that today I would at least hope to mend our friendship a little, I knew it was hard for them to find out about me liking Draco. Nobody except for Slytherin's like him, even then a lot of Slytherin's are kind of scared of him.

As I walked in I saw Jeremiah and Elizabeth on the couch with some other Hufflepuff's who were probably high. I waved to them as I approached the large couch.

"Y/n, what are you doing here?" Elizabeth's curiosity shined through her.

"Well- we all haven't really been talking so I wanted to bring you guys a gift to show that I care about you guys.." I stated shyly.

The twins looked at each other and then me before digging into the bag I brought. Their eyes lit up when they saw all the chocolates. The other Hufflepuff's began to leave the couches and probably went to their bedrooms.

"So.. you and Malfoy, aye?" Jeremiah questioned with chocolate stuffed in his mouth.

"Yeah.. him." Followed Elizabeth.

I could feel myself blush at just the thought of the boy.
"Erm yeah- him and I get along a bit.."

"Need some help?" Elizabeth asked.

"With?" I responded.

"Getting you two together." Jeremiah finished.

I paused. The thought of actually dating Draco never really came into my head, just the fact that I liked him did. Is he somebody I would date? Even if I wanted to, what are the chances he likes me back?

"I mean... sure?" I awkwardly answered.

"We could use a Love Potion." Sasha said.

I flinched and turned around, Sasha was standing above me behind the couch.

"Sasha! When did you get here!?" I whispered.

"I've been here almost the whole time, you're just incredibly blind. Also we accept your chocolates" she said smiling while grabbing a chocolate frog.

"But to answer you, no. We aren't using Love Potions! That feels like a type of abusive manipulation and I cannot get behind that."
I said with a look of distaste.

Sasha responded with a shrug as she sat down beside me. The twins seemed like they were trying to figure out what to say.

"Oh! I know!" Elizabeth cheered.

The three of us now intrigued looked her way.

"We could talk to Malfoy... and see if he likes you? Maybe we could even convince him to confess to you?" She said with a smile.

"No offense but do you actually think Malfoy of all people would tell US that he likes y/n?!" Sasha sneers.

A depressed silence fell over the group.

"Well I know I can't confess to him, we have no idea what could happen." I sighed.

"He did save you and get revenge after Dumb and Dumber kicked your ass. Maybe that says something?" Jeremiah chimed in.

"Do you have to word it like that, man? They didn't kick my ass, they pushed me off a cliff!"
I grumbled.

"He is right though." Sasha points out.

"Why would he get revenge and let alone save you if he didn't care about you in any way?" Elizabeth comments.

They have good points, I don't know if he has feelings for me but I could say that he definitely does care about me... man this is all confusing.
