Ch. 5: Party at Black Lake (Part 1)

I walk alongside some of my best friends as we make our way to the great hall for an early lunch. Jeremiah and Elizabeth the Hufflepuff twins along with Sasha the Ravenclaw. The four of us walked up to the nearest table as I just listened to them talk about the upcoming party.

"I heard from Jeremiah who heard from Ron who heard from the other twins that there will be booze and drugs" Elizabeth said as she poked her food which in turn made my and Sasha's head jolt up.

"What?!" Whisper yelled Sasha, the girl is a goodie two-shoes.

Jeremiah just nodded with a smirk as he went to fist bump me, I exchanged the bump. The two girls went on a whole rant about how this was wrong and that they should say something. Jeremiah and I just glared at them from when they said that, to which they decided that they wouldn't.

"So, y/n... what do you think is going to happen at the party?" Jeremiah said as he rested his head on his fist.

I thought for a second while placing my fork down.
"Someone is probably going to get drunk or high.. and do something stupid. I want to be there to watch that of course." I said with a devilish grin creeping onto my face.

"Here, do you wanna head to our common rooms and start to get ready?" He said while pointing to the two girls who left our group.

"I think that would be a decent idea, I'll meet you outside your common room." I started to stand up as I gathered my wand and left the Great Hall.

As I walked closer and closer to the basement I saw "The Golden Trio" which to be honest surprised me. I've never seen them this far in the basement. As I got closer to the door I felt them watching me like a hawk.

"Do you have an issue?" I said to them still facing the door.

"No, sorry." Hermione said quietly.

I whispered the password as the wall opened for me, I made sure they couldn't hear me say it just in case they were trying to get in. It was odd but I quickly moved on from it as I got to my room.

I grabbed my swimsuit and sweater and quickly changed into them before putting on my converse. It felt a little bit bland so I grabbed a few rings and of course my friendship bracelet that I made with the Hufflepuff twins. I splashed water onto my face in the connecting bathroom and stylized my hair before I started to walk out of the common room. The castle felt empty which was more than likely because people already left for the party. Before reaching the exit I heard Draco speak up.

"Travers, where are you going? Thought you were going with us." He said as he walked up behind me.

"Oh, right, my bad I guess.." I turned around to face him.

"You guess? Well whatever, I mean we can ditch the others and go early." He said while rolling his eyes and crossing his arms.

"Really? Well while we were leaving I said I'd meet someone in their common room. Wanna come along there too?" A smile crept onto my face.

"... sure, who are we getting?" He brought up with a suspicious tone.

"My friend Jeremiah. He's a Hufflepuff." I mentioned while pushing open the wall exit.

I didn't hear any comments or responses as we made our way to the Hufflepuff common room where Jeremiah was patiently waiting. He looked surprised when he saw Malfoy, maybe even a little uncomfortable. But all was fine, it was a little bit of an awkward silence on the way to the black lake. It was weird seeing people out of uniform, especially Draco. Never thought I'd see him in swim wear.
