The following day after Takemichi - with a miracle - got Draken and Mikey to become friends again, you were waiting outside the new arcade in town.
You were leaning against the bike racks people tend to lock their bikes to. Your legs were sort of stretched out as your arms were folded over your chest, actively scanning the area to keep a look out for your colleague of the day.
Your one knee was rapidly bouncing up and down, finger tapping the opposite arm, biting the inside of your mouth, and checking your watch every now and then.
Yeah they were ten minutes late, but they were probably busy people. Idiots like them probably get side tracked all the time, right? surely they wouldn't flake, especially after they promised to be here.
Now you wouldn't take it personally, but let's just say all of them would lose more than just a strand of hair.
"Hey, [name]!"
spoke too soon.
You turn your head and see the five boys in question walking in your direction, each giving their own way of greeting you from afar. Rather it be a smile, wave, or even a simple nod.
You nod your head and walk in their direction, meeting them in front of the arcade doors. You uncrossed your arms and tucked them into your front pockets, fiddling with the fabrics inside. "Sup' guys"
"What's with the shades?" Yamagishi asks, pointing at his own glasses to express his concern.
You adjust the tinted sunglasses covering your eyes, "that's not important" you wave off.
"And the outfit?" Makoto follows up.
You were wearing a simple red shirt that was oversized, the rim was able to reach just past your bottom. It was at first tucked in but now one side of it was pulled out due to all your movement. You also wore dark jeans that were a size bigger than what you naturally are. White sneakers protected your feet, one of the laces on your left shoe decorated in beads and charms. To top it off you wore your everyday necklace and a backpack.
"Again, not important" You brush it off, assuring it was a normal day outfit for you.
They gave you a confused and cornered look before glancing at each other, wondering if any of them were actually satisfied with your answer. Then they look back at you just in time to see you pull out your wallet.
You open the black leather pouch and take out some cash, making their eyes go wide and sparkle with stars. "I want this done thirty minutes before noon. And that means I want the prize before noon" you clarify, using the money to emphasize your words since your eyes were covered.
One by one you hand them each twenty bucks, making them go as pale as a ghost. Each freeze in their place, stunned to see someone your age carry around this sort of cash on them.
