FINLEY'S POV :
I just sit there in utter shock. I was not expecting him to say that. I was expecting a 'sorry I don't see you that way' or 'let's just be friends'. I was not prepared for that answer.
"You, like me back?" I asked him.
"Very much so, is that shocking?"
"Yes! I mean, no? Maybe?" Nick laughed at my stuttering.
"I wasn't expecting you to like me back." I say.
"Is it bad that I do?"
"No no, absolutely not. It's amazing that you do, I couldn't be happier." I reassure him.
Nick laughed, looking down.
"You leave soon." He said.
"Don't remind me. I love my home, but I've had an amazing time here. You guys have been so lovely to us, I don't know how we would ever repay you." I say.
"Wellll, you could take me to lunch before you leave to pay me back." Nick raised his eyebrows and softly smiled.
"Deal." I reply.
"Then it's a date!" Nick said.
"It's a date." I grin.
