It was a Tuesday school ended an hour ago I was home on my bed looking at the ring Scarlette gave me it was sweet there was then a knock at my door I ran down to get it. I thought my dad had come home early from his meeting at work or it was Nina with Nick asking to hang out I had hoped it would be Scarlette but I was surprised to see Clara standing there.

"Hey Clara what's up," I said.

"I was hoping to talk to you about Serah and um Nick gave me your address I had to turn the charm on but he gave it up in the end," Clara said with a proud smile.

"Remind me to kick Nick at school and about Serah look I don't know that much we only became friends recently and before that, we were enemies so I don't know that much about her," I said.

"Oh sorry for bothering you," Clara said and sighed about to leave.

"Wait, look I may not know much about her but last year when we were enemies I with the help of my friends I did dig up some dirt on her that you may be able to use," I said.

"How is dirt gonna help me," Clara said.

"We did one hell of a dive to get this dirt," I said gesturing for her to come in.

I took Clara up to my room and sat her on my bed I then pulled my laptop out and powered it up as I typed in my password Clara looking away I realised this was the first time that I have had a girl I barely know in my room and it is not to have sex.

"Alright let's see here," I said as I opened up my files.

"You have a lot of dirt on a lot of kids," Clara said seeing all the names.

"Only those who piss me off," I said as I saw Jay's name I realised that I did have something on him so I might as well use it even if it is out of spite.

"So these are all your enemies," Clara said.

"And yours if you are too open about your sexuality," I said.

"The last time you said sex to me was when we slept together," Clara said and I froze.

"We slept together when," I said.

"After Raymon's party last Summer," Clara said.

"I remember going to Raymon's party but I must have gotten hammered as I don't remember much of what I did that night sorry," I said.

"Don't worry you want a refresher about that night?" Clara said.

"Naa but I would like to know two things one if I got too close to any guys and if I was any good when sleeping with you," I said.

"Well I didn't see you get too close you did kiss a bunch of girls though and as for the sex despite your drunken state, it was fantastic," Clara said and we both laughed.

"Ahhh there look," I said pointing at a piece of info.

"Really that's what she is into," Clara said.

"What were you expecting when gathering dirt on someone it's never really for a good reason," I said as I lay back on my bed.

"Hey, where did you get this," Clara said as he held up my hand with the ring that Scarlette got me.

"The girl I am currently dating got it for me," I said.

"So it's a promise ring," Clara asked.

"Matching pair," I said with a nod.

"That's sweet so what is the promise," Clara asked as she lay next to me.

"If I told you it would be giving away too much information," I said.

"That's a shame," Clara said.

"How are things with you and Serah," I said turning to her.

"Pretty good I even met her parents they were a little surprised to find out that their daughter was gay but they took one good look at me and for some reason, they softened up and smiled," Clara said.

"Just wait until they get to know you," I said laughing.

"Yeah they may send her to some conversion school just to spite me," Clara said as she laughed.

"Naaa I saw her mum and dad once they strike me as far too well educated for that, they know the world is changing and they can see that if they don't change with it they will get left behind along with some religions that refuse to change," I said.

The two of us talked and laughed with each other for a good few hours before my dad came home and made us realise how late it was and just as Clara was leaving she made the point about keeping our moment together to ourselves and I agreed. I went back in and my dad who had brought back Chinese take out for us and as we were eating I got a call from Scarlette I answered it and she said that she was taking me away this Friday to spend some time alone over the weekend where no one would judge us. I told my dad about the plans but as far as he knew I was going away with some friends and he agreed as long as I called him once every day to make sure I was okay and safe and I smiled.

I got to school the next day and there was a note on the inside of my locker that fell out when I opened it as I read it I knew it was from Beth her handwriting was unmistakable. She was asking me to meet her at the old clubhouses off to the right of the track field I had a good idea of what she wanted from me but I was not sure I was going to give it to her. I had a friend with a benefits relationship with her when we both ended up here after we went to the same preschool but it ended at the end of last year when she betrayed me she made me feel broken.

"So Beth that'll be interesting," Nina said as we sat in class.

"More like stupid," I said.

"Then why are you going to meet her," Nina said.

"Because it has been a while and it would be nice to see her," I said.

"Think she will ask you," Nina said.

"No idea but she did sat they she had a debt to pay and as long as I have known her she's a woman of her word she keeps her promises and when she says she will dose something she does it no matter what," I said.

"Can you think of anything you have done that she hasn't properly thanked you for yet?" Nina said.

"Not that I can think of off the top of my head no but that is why I am going to see her find out what she will be paying me back for," I said.

"Well good luck either way I hope to see you once again," Nina said.

"Okay I will be the first to admit that she has a few screws loose but she is not psychotic I mean I did sleep with her more than once you learn a few things after that," I said.

"I hope you're right," Nina said and I lightly punched her arm.
