Here we (finally) are at the final chapter! I'd like to say thank you again for patiently sticking with this story all year. :) It really means a lot to me
The night before the wedding.
Hetty's house.
'I got your text, what's wrong?' Granger asked.
'Come in, there's some things we need to talk about.' Hetty replied.
She led him to their armchairs next to the fireplace.
'I had another nightmare about Vietnam. And it made me realize a lot of things. I'm always going to have secrets that I can't tell, I'll definitely always have bad dreams, I can't change who I am, and I want to know if that's okay with you before we promise ourselves in front of everyone tomorrow.' She started.
Stunned. 'Henrietta, I have the same faults that you just pointed out. Would I have proposed to you if I didn't want to be with you? And would you have accepted my proposal if you didn't want to be with me as well?' Granger asked.
'Well, no. I'm just nervous that you might get sick of me and decide to one day leave me for someone who isn't so burdened by scars.'
Holding her hand. 'I would never get that sick of you, and I'll prove that to you day after day.'
Hetty smiled. She knew then that she was in good hands.
The next afternoon, the 2 ex spies married, along with Kensi and Deeks. The real sweet part being that Hetty let Kensi and Deeks get married first so she could be their minister. 1 of the guests said that 'he had never seen a minister wearing a pretty white dress before.'
When the time finally came for Hetty to kiss her unexpected angel, she felt something she hadn't felt since coming home from Vietnam: Complete serenity.
The double reception was very lovely. Callen and Sam made amusing speeches, Eric and Nell awkwardly joked around. And the dances were happy and joyful. For the first time in a long time, everyone of the OSP office were all happy at the same time over something that wasn't work related.
At a hotel somewhere, in bed.
'That was possibly the greatest day of my life.' Granger remarked.
'Mine too. Who would've thought the impulsive decision to escape from captivity would've granted me all of this?' Hetty mused.
'I don't say this enough, but. Thank you for never giving up on me.'
'And I thank you for doing the same with me. Now, (pulling out a condom), you want to do this?'
'(Smirk), this'll be interesting to say the least.'
And so they lived happily ever after. (well, in their own way)
