RRIIIIINNGGGG!!!

Your alarm goes off. School..how fun, you think to yourself. You never loved school, who does anyways? School felt tormenting to you, you just wanted to finish school. At least you were fifteen and only had a few more years to go.

Dragging yourself out of bed and take a shower. Afterwards, you dry off and wrap a towel around yourself. You put your best clothes on. It's the last day of school, might as well look great leaving. You put on your F/P on as well as your F/S. Not wanting to bother with makeup, you brush your H/L. (sorry if youre bald-) Yeah, I look fine. You smile.

"Hey! Want me to drive you or are you walking with your little friends?" you hear walking down the stairs. "I'll walk. Thank you mother." You smile. "Oh okay! Do you want breakfast, hon?" she offers, turning over to you. "No, It's okay. I'm not hungry." you insist. "Okay, whatever you say Y/N.". You sling your book-bag over your shoulder and walk out the door.

"Hey, Y/N. That took forever. LITERALLY." A redheaded girl jokes. "It was like 30 minutes Max. Chill-" "Yeahh okay, c'mon." Max begs. "Okay, okay!". As you two walk to school, yall decide to meet up with Lucas.
"Hey, Lucas!" you wave, smiling. "Hey guys, ready?". "Ready." You and Max say in sync, laughing immediately.

At school :)

"Alright, I gotta head to my first period. See you two at second period?" Lucas asks, turning. "Yeah, of course. See you later." You say waving as he walks off. Looking at Max, you wonder what she's thinking. Who knows. "Hey, Max. You alright?", "Oh, yeah i'm okay. Just....just thinking." she whispers. You shrug your shoulder. "Well, I gotta go to first period, you should too. We'll meet up in the third hall." you remarked. "Alright, see you L/N.". You wave and leave. I wonder if she's okay? I'll ask at second period.

RRRIIIINNGGGG!!
The bell rings loudly. As tons of kids leave the room; eager to finish the day. You grab your notebook and put it in your bag. Slinging the bag over your shoulder, you walk out the door slightly sprinting, impatiently trying to get to Max and Lucas. "Heyyy Lucas!!" you wave walking next to him. "Hey, have you seen Max? I cannot find her still.". "No, no I haven't. I just walked out.". "Oh." he looks down, continuing to walk.

RRRIIIINNNGGGG!!

The bell rang. It's second period now. Where the fuck is Max??  You think to yourself, worried out of your MIND. You rip off a piece of paper from your notebook. 'Hey, Lucas. Where the hell is Max? I'm so confused LOL.' You wrote. 'No idea! Wanna ask to use the nurse and bathroom to look for her?'. You read. Nodding, you raise your hand. "-and that's why it's important. Okay? Yes, Ms L/N; what do you need?", "Hi Mrs Korn, may I go to the nurse? I feel light headed." you ask politely. "Yes, you may. Take your pass, hon." you get up and walk out, nodding at Lucas. Don't fuck me over Lucas..

Five minutes later, you finally see Lucas.
"Took you long enough.." you cross your arms. "Sorry!! She wouldn't let me leave for a hot minute there.". "Yeah, okay. C'mon we need to find Max." you insist. He nods, "Should we split up?" he asks. "Yeah, it'll take less time. Just be careful for any teachers.".

You two split up. You head to the girls bathroom and he goes to the second hall. Walking in, you hear someone throwing up. "Hello?.." you whisper. Max peeps over, "chrissy." she mouths. You raise your eyebrows, "oh." you mouth. You wave your hand, gesturing for her to follow you.

"Where the hell did you go?" you ask with your hands on your hips. "We were supposed to meet.." you continue. "I'm sorry!! I just...i..i felt- i dunno.." she mumbles, looking over her shoulder. "Felt...what?" you tilt your head in confusion. "I haven't been feeling myself lately. Okay?". "I'm sorry, I didn't know. Are you okay?" you hold her hand. She looks down and your hand, with raised brows. "Yeah, yeah i'm okay. But we should probably go to second period..I guess." she moves her head gesturing to the hall. You hum in response.

A little while later, its lunch time. :).

"Hey, Max. Whatcha gonna get?" you smile. "Just a coke, fries and fruit. You?". "Same." you continue smiling. You hated coke. You're drinking it for her, because you're weird. What. You grab your lunch and head to a table with Max in it. "You wanna go outside and eat, I'm not feeling it in her..." she asks. "Yeah, of course.". You two grab your trays and head outside to the courtyard.

You sit on the stair steps. My fucking god. I wish I grabbed milk instead. You think to yourself.
You look over at her, while taking the smallest possible sips of coke. You two make eye contact.

"I- .. um. I have a question, Y/N." she asks, looking down. "Yeah, what's up?.".
"Do you...i dunno...like anybody..?" she whispers, moving around her food with her fork. "..yeah, yeah I do. Do you?" you hesitantly reply. "I do." she whispers. "Cool..cool. May I ask, who?" you turn to look at her, with a light smile. "I-..umm." she stutters. "It's fine if you don't want to tell me Mayfield. As long as you're comfortable." you smile. You REALLY  wanted to know who she liked, but you didn't want to push her buttons knowing how she could get. You didn't like upsetting her- who would?

"You.", you hear. You turn your attention towards her. "What..?". "I like you, Y/N. Always have." she whispers, with a slight pink tent in her cheeks. Max turns to look you, "But it's okay if you don't feel the same way!! I mean, I completely understand-"- you cut her off with a soft kiss. Maxs eyes widen. "I like you too, Max. I..I love you. I've loved you for years." you smile; blushing HEAVILY. "I never knew you felt the same way, L/N.". "Always did. Just...just never had the guts to say it." you look down at your lap, clearly nervous; yet so confident.

"I love you, always and forever." she smiles blushing, caressing your cheek.
