Chapter 8

You were laying on your bed in the temple. Day dreaming about what would happen if the council allowed attachments to lovers and family. "Just a stupid dream, they'd never," you muttered as the door opened. You looked and saw Shaak stood there close to tears, you shot up and pulled her into a hug. "Hey, what's wrong?" you asked "Master Windu, he thinks it's okay to bring in sex workers to handle mine, and any togruta's, heat without asking for consent," she explained and rage filled your body "Y/n, calm down, anger won't help anyone," Shaak said cupping your cheek. You looked into her eyes and pulled her closer, "I got you your wedding ring," you commented and her eyes lit up "where is it? Can I see it?" She asked and you nodded. You took it out of your pocket and Shaak admired it, "is this a... kyber crystal?" She asked "it is," you replied before being pulled into a kiss. "We should go to my quarters," Shaak whispered when it ended "why?" you asked "it's sound proof, and we need to deal with my heat," she replied as she put the ring on. 

"Part of me wants to be open about our relationship, just to show the council that attachments aren't bad," you commented "that would be bad, and they wouldn't listen-" "then what if I told them that Master Yoda and Master Yaddle were married and had a son before her death? Or that Master Fisto and Master Secura are dating? Or that Master Kenobi and Dutchess Satine were a couple? And everyone knows Master Mundi has five wives and like several daughters," you interrupted smirking "Master, half of the jedi I know are dating, there's Ahsoka who's got feelings for Lux Bonteri," "you're close with Ahsoka, right?" she asked and you nodded "I am, we've been friends for years," you replied. You saw she was contemplating something, then you realised. "Ahsoka is your daughter, isn't she?" you said with a small smile "y-yes," Shaak whispered and you couldn't hold back the smile "you should tell her," you stated "I know, but if the council finds out then they'll expel me and likely her," she argued "and I'll be right behind you," you replied "why? You have a bright future in the order," Shaak asked "it's called loyalty, and I don't want to be in an order that doesn't allow people to be happy and true to themselves," you said and kissed her.

"WHAT?!" you pulled away from Shaak and saw Mace stood in the door looking more furious than he would if he found out you'd pissed on his pillow a year ago "M-Master Windu, w-what are doing here?" you asked "I was here to tell you of your role in your master's heat, however it would appear I now the true reason she wants you to help her with it," he growled "the council will be seeing you," you stood in shock as he left. You looked at your soon-to-be-wife and hugged her. 

You walked into the council chamber and could sense the anger radiating off of Mace. "Broken the code you two have," Yoda said "we're not the only ones," you responded with a glare "what are you talking about?" Mace asked "would it interest you to know that my own mother is married to a jedi?" you replied "we are not here to talk about other jedi, but we will discuss this later," he said "no we won't, because I know you plan on expelling us. I won't ruin someone else's happiness," you stated "we're still unaware of what is going on," Obi-wan commented. "These two appear to be in a romantic relationship," Mace replied "no, we're more than that," you commented as you held Shaak's hand "what?" he growled "we're engaged," Shaak said smiling at you. "Expelled you are," Yoda stated "why? you broke the code as well," you argued which shocked the other council members "and we all know Master Mundi is married. You kriffing hypocrite," you growled "is this true Master Yoda?" Mace asked "to Master Yaddle married I was, Grogu my son is," Yoda admitted "you're lucky we cannot expel you too," Mace grumbled "WHEN WILL YOU UNDERSTAND THIS RULE DOES MORE HARM THAN GOOD?!" you snapped. Which shocked him, no one except Yoda was willing to raise their voice at the master of the order, but even he had a small amount of fear when doing so. "We've been in a relationship for over a month, yet have we showed any sign of falling AT ALL?! NO! YOU'RE JUST A DILUSIONAL, ARROGNAT, OLD MAN!" you yelled "well you're certainly unstable right now," he growled "BECAUSE OF THE CODE!" you yelled "Masters, we're all people, we have desires to be in relationships. It's just as natural as the force. Every sentient being has the right to love and marry how they choose, everyone except us. If these emotions led to the dark side then most of us would have fallen years ago, you yourself use the dark side, if anyone is on the verge of falling it's you," you continued. You could sense most of them were thinking on your words. You glanced at Shaak, who was concerned, you sent her a reassuring smile and she rested her head gently on your shoulder. "You cannot tell me that love is a dangerous thing," "it is, it can cloud someone's judgement," Mace replied "key word being can. You let me know and spend time with my mother, I have no idea how someone convinced you to let that happen, but if I was going to let it cloud my judgement then it would have happened a long time ago. I mean, do you know anyone who would go to Illum other than to build a lightsaber or guide younglings?" you argued, you then saw Yoda perked up as he realised your reason for being on Illum the other day, "what are you saying Padawan?" Mace asked "I... kind of put a kyber crystal Shaak's wedding ring," you replied and she raised her hand to show them. You could see utter shock on his face. "Why?" he asked "love," you said shrugging "stay in the order you may. Attachments we will allow, the force, telling me it is time to change it is. Vulnerable love can make you, but stronger also," Yoda stated, shocking Mace, "Master Yoda, this is a bad idea," he argued "wrong you are Master Windu, make us stronger this will. Object does anyone else?" Yoda asked "I, for one, can't wait for this change," Kit commented surprising the other members "of course you can't," you muttered "how so?" Kit asked, sounding a little nervous, "Master Fisto, I'm not an idiot. I know you're attracted to, dare I say in love with, Aayla," you replied and he blushed "and she obviously feels the same way," you saw him smile a little at that. "I have a couple things to say," Shaak said "what's that?" Obi-wan asked with a smile "I... am Ahsoka Tano's mother... and... I'm pregnant," she admitted and you stared at her in shock "congratulations in order they are," Yoda chuckled. 

Time skip

You knocked on your mother's door and when it opened you saw she had just gotten out the shower. "Y/n! How are you?" she asked hugging you "I'm well, has the news reached you and Anakin?" you asked as you hugged back "what news?" Anakin asked, you looked inside and saw him without a shirt on, and he was clearly sweating. You were brought inside and sat on the couch grinning, "the council found out about me and Shaak's relationship-" "you and Master Ti? wha..." Anakin was obviously shocked "yeah, we're kinda getting married..." you said "anyway! I yelled at Master Windu a lot, ousted Master Yoda as a chad because he's a father, and eventually Master Yoda decided that attachments were now allowed. You're welcome, let's get married publicly at the same time," you stated grinning. You saw them both smiling. "AND THAT'S NOT ALL!" you yelled "hmm?" Padme asked looking back at you "you're going to be a grandma!" you exclaimed.
