When I was a kid, kids my age would always try to become my friends because my parents were rich and popular. The kids thought I could get them toys and candy for free, or let them hang out with my big brothers to look cool in front of others. My brothers always let them hang out with them, but then when we got home they would talk bad about how desperate they were to get popular. They were only nice to me, and in front of others it was just an act. They gave me candy and stuff. My parents never paid much attention to me, my dad thought of me as a mistake of a son, my mother was too scared to say anything to him, she did sent me some smiles in secret though.

Three years ago I met my now best friend, Wyatt is his name, He's so cool, he skates on skate board and plays video games, even though he doesn't seem like it, his really smart and caring, he always lets me vent about my family. He doesn't care that my family is rich and popular, he cares for me because I'm me, and not my family.

One day when I was at home my parents had an argument my brothers, Ollie and Oliver, stood outside their door and listened as always "Hey Marion, need something?" Ollie said as he rubbed my head like any other brother. "What are they fighting over this time" I asked, "It's nothing, just go to your room" Oliver said with a smile. Oliver was the elegant brother, and Ollie was the trouble maker, but Oliver would always keep him in place. I went to my room.

"You should have never given born to that mistake!" My father shouted.

"He is no mistake! You just can't see how amazing he is because you never gave him a chance!" My mother shouted right after. It was not the first time they had fought because of me, but it was the first time my mother ever stood up to my dad. I was proud of her.

I snuck out the window and went to Wyatt's place that night. I left a note to my brothers, they knew I did this and would always cover me while I was out. Wyatt didn't expect me that night, I saw him through the window, he was playing some game, I knocked on his window, when he saw me he fell down his chair and his headset fell on the ground. He quickly got up and opened his window, "How the hell did you climb up that tree, this is second floor?!" He shouted. "Shh! It's nothing, I know my climbing" I said with a dumb smirk.

He let me in and I threw myself on his sofa, he got me some snacks and soda. I started talking about what had happened, he just listened while eating snacks. "That's rough buddy, wait I know!" Wyatt said. "What if we get a new look and move a little out the city, like get a new identity, then people can't use you anymore, and we'll live free!" Wyatt said, he had this sparkle in his eyes. "You gotta be joking right? No way we can do that, were 17!" I said. "You got money, I got money, I don't see a problem" Wyatt said.

We ended up doing it, he got his brown hair dyed black, he always wanted that. I got my blond hair dyed dark brown. We got some new clothes and burned the old, maybe a little over the line but it was nice to roast marsh mellows on. We found a little house in the city, some time away from where Wyatt lived. I told my brothers about it, and they would secretly sent money to me for rent and things like that. They supported me completely. "Call or text us if you need anything alright?" Oliver said, he had bowed down and put his hands on my shoulders, Ollie was behind him, he covered his eyes, but I saw a tear. "Are you crying big bro?" I asked as a tease. "No no, something got in my eye, SNIFF" Ollie said. I gave him a hug. and he hugged me back even tighter. Oliver gave me a gentle hug, and then I left.

Me and Wyatt lived in the house for a year and a half until we realized we liked each other as more than friends. We became boyfriends.

Wyatt met my brothers and they got along really well actually. He talked about games and skate boarding with Ollie, and they always joked about the trick called Ollie. Wyatt and Oliver often read some new things, about cooking and stuff like that to learn new things.

My brothers had told my mom where I lived and she came to visit, she cried as she saw me, and I ran to give her a hug. "I love you my baby, I'm so sorry." She said, crying her eyes out.

"It's fine ma." I cried too.
