-Next day-
"Holy shit,Steve,I'm freaking out so so badly, what if my plan doesn't work out
and Mrs Wheeler doesn't lend me her basement for tonight or Nancy hates the surprise?I just can't have that happening,it needs to be perfect,"Robins panicked voice rambled through Steve's telephone as he flicked through an old book,in which he swore he left those ice cream discount things somewhere. The boy snorted even though he was just as worried as Robin was,"but it will work so don't even worry. You've got Steve Harrington involved in this plan, how could it go wrong?I mean it's like saying that..I don't know, but just trust me."
The blondes knuckles had begun to turn white from gripping the phone so hard, even though it still felt like it could slip out of her hand at any time due to the excess sweat.Today she was going to see Nancys mum (after the girl had left the house with Steve for their ice cream thing) and ask for permission to use the basement for that evening.
After that permission was granted,if it was, she'd rush to Starcourt Mall on her bike, pedalling so fast that her calves would feel like they were on fire for days after that, and gathering decorations with the little money she had.At the moment the total was $20.50,which she thought would be quite alright as stuff wasn't too expensive, depending on the shop you go into.
Then cycling back to the Wheelers huge house, she'd obviously abandon her bike somewhere to the side and rush in with all the things she'd bought in her hands, begging Nancys little brother to help her set things up.If things went well she'd also ask him-very nicely-if he could call over his friends as it would get the job done much faster and leave her loads more time to stress over Nancys arrival.
Although, before that the girl would also have to back to her house, yes a lot of cycling involved, and would change into her picked out outfit.Yup,that was the whole plan, one that she had scribbled out in a note book with messy and fast handwriting as she continued speaking with with Steve, who's was still looking for those damned..discount coupons-?
"Found them!"he shouted through the speaker, which made Robin cringe at the intensity and caused her to distance the phone from her ear."Well done Stevie, now you're gonna have to get in your car and pick up Nancy because the time is,"she paused to look at her watch,"2:45pm so you have about 15 minutes since she said to be there at '3 ish' which means you have to be around 3 and like-."
"Robin,I got that,I'm leaving the house right now so..don't worry, everything will be fine,"and with that he hung up,leaving Robin to stand with the phone still in her hand as she finished what she was saying,in her head.
Then obviously it hit her that she should quickly shower and get changed,as she was still in her pyjamas, having gone to sleep late and waking up late as well. The water was cold and refreshing against her warm body, brining her back to reality and the day ahead of her.Well the day had already started..a while ago,but it was starting only just now for her.Carefully, she shampooed her short hair, which took barely any time, and then rinsed it off of course, blinking rapidly when some got into her eyes and begun to burn.
Todays clothes were the usual, plain, mostly black and consisted of having a leather belt strapped around her waist, slid through the dark navy loops in her shorts.Still wet,the water from her hair dropped onto her sleeveless shirt, making little dots here and there like stars in the night sky.
Time ticked by surprisingly fast,3pm already having come, she rushed out of her house and wondered to the side of it where she kept her bike.It was a short ride to Nancys house, and she hoped to god, although not being religious at all, that she wouldn't run into her and Steve when she arrived. It would be the most embarrassing conversation ever to have happened in the existence of the universe.
