Raura - When she cries

After school

Laura's PoV

School just ended and Ross wanted to walk me home but I declined I can't let him see how I live not just yet I need to fully trust him because if he sees how I live he could leave me as a friend and I would be sad. Me and Ross did switch phone numbers earlier today so we can contact each other when we are at our homes I just hope my aunt won't take my phone away.

Ross: so see you tomorrow then?

Laura: yeah see you tomorrow

Ross walked away with a smile on his face and I smiled back and when he was out of sight I sighed and walked back to my house which I'm dreading my aunt could be at a bar, at someone else's house or either back at our house and she's probably drunk which I'm scared for. I know I will have to tell Ross the truth or he will find out by himself and that will be even worse but I don't know how to but I think I will need to trust him even more. 

At home

I got home and the house was dark like normal I sighed and walked in and I saw my aunt asleep on the sofa with a bottle in her hand I carefully placed my school bag on the floor and I didn't make a sound I got out my homework and started to work on it before she woke up because if anything goes wrong I'm the one who gets hurt. Once I finished my homework I put it back in my bag and then I quietly walked upstairs to my room and got ready for bed which reminds me I need new clothes but with how my aunt is I can't anyway I got in bed and turned my light off and fell asleep.

Ross's POV

I was a little confused on why Laura didn't want me to walk her home but I guess she has her reasons because she seemed so scared of the populars and if I push her too far she might push me away and we might stop being friends and I don't want that she seems like a really nice girl and she is funny. 

I got home to see my sister chasing Rocky and my other brothers Riker and Ryland sitting in the living room talking and playing music.

Ross: Rocky took something of Rydels?

Riker: yup

Ross: where is mum and dad?

Ryland: out at the shops

Riker: how was school?

Ross: fine I met a new girl today

Ryland: really?

Ross: well she isn't a new girl but I have only seen her today maybe because I went to the secret corridor that you told me about and she was there

Riker: how did she know about it?

Ross: same reason as me it was her get away corrdior she doesn't like populars

Ryland: but you're popular

Ross: I know and I saw how the popular girls treated her they pushed her to the floor and bullied her and she had her hood up all day she rarely took it down

Riker: wow what is her name?

Ross: Laura

Riker: Laura?

Ross: she didn't tell me her last name

Ryland: I wonder why

Ross: I just put it down to not trusting populars but she is starting to trust me I hope 

Riker: I think the whole family would like to meet Laura

Ross: no you guys would embarrass me

Ryland: no we won't 

Ross: fine but let her warm up to me first she really doesn't trust anyone she thinks they will hurt her 

Riker: sounds like there is more to her story than you realise Ross 

Ross: I know and I hope she will tell me soon 

Ryland: I am sure she will 

Ross: yeah I just have to give her time 

Riker: why don't you ask Rydel to hang out with Laura 

Ross: do you think she will?

Ryland: she might 

Then Rydel walked in through the living room door and she sat on the sofa and she smiled at me.

Rydel: hi Ross how was school?

Ross: it was fine I met a girl 

Rydel: ooo 

Ross: yeah but the thing is she doesn't like populars, she is shy and she is quiet 

Rydel: oh so how did you two meet?

Ross: well I got swarmed by these fan girls and I ran to the corridor that you and Riker told me about and when I got there I saw someone already there on there phone when I called out they turned their phone off and said who's there and we started to talk and at first she wouldn't tell me her name and she was hesitant of me because I am popular she thought I would've hurt her.

Rydel: poor girl 

Ross: Riker wants the family to meet her but I don't know her that well yet so I don't know how she would take it

Rydel: yeah it is too early to meet us 

Ross: so how can I prove to Laura that I want to be best friends and I mean it and that I am not lying

Rydel: any nice guesture should work she will warm up to you and then she will know for sure that you two are best friends and then when she is used to you she can meet us

Ross: thanks Rydel

Rydel: so that means sitting by her at lunch, in class, always be nice to her and no lying to her 

Ross: but I think she is hiding something from me

Rydel: like what?

Ross: well she has only told me her first name she won't tell me her last name I don't know why

Rydel: strange 

Riker: anyway you should do your homework

Ross: yeah I will talk to guys about this later also don't mention it to mum or dad 

Riker: promise

Ryland: promise

Rydel: promise

I then walked upstairs and got out my homework and started it which took hours and by the time I was done I was tired I had some tea and then I got ready for bed and then turned my light off and fell asleep.
