Laying on a comfortable bed was more than I could ask for. We found a warm inn to stay the night. The room was fairly big.
Except for the fact that.
We were sleeping in the same room.
To save as much as we had we decided to take only one room. Which was actually more uncomfortable for me than it seemed to her.
She was fast asleep and so was I to be honest. I dreamed of this kind of beauty sleep for days upon days.
Sleep so remarkable I can't remember when I fell asleep.
Because now I was sitting up to the sunlight glaring down on me through the window.
I sigh knowing I could just choose to continue sleeping.
But I can't. It's my responsibility as a person to wake up and work the universe. A little philosophy I live by.
When you decide to sleep in you are leaving everything else to others hands. As much as I like the comfort of the bedsheets. I gain satisfaction a sort of satisfaction from doing that responsibility.
Getting out of bed I notice Akali already out of bed tinkering with her daggers.
"Morning" I do a half wave. More of a lift of the hand.
She gestures back to me.
"How did you sleep? I usually don't get to sleep in a bed. Being on the hunt most of the time takes me away from safe towns like this." She explains.
"I slept like a dead Noxian. But now awake and I can't complain given the great rest we got." Akali nods in agreement.
"We should go. We don't know when Irelia will leave for that Noxian camp." Akali stands suddenly. As if she was just killing time waiting for me to wake up.
Heading out the door we step out onto a fairly busy street. It slightly warmed my heart actually. The safety of these villages. Unlike the island of scum and Pirates.
Heading closer back to the Placidium. We see Irelia gathering a group of villagers.
Getting closer I approach her.
"Irelia? Me and Akali are looking to join you today." I state.
She looks at me and then at Akali.
"Not very typical for you to work with others ninja. And you? Who are you?" She asks.
"I'm a victim of the Noxian occupation. I've seen firsthand the horrors they bring here." I respond.
She eyes me up and down for a moment before calmly nodding.
"Ionia needs all she can offer to defeat the noxians." I would be honored to have your assistance.
She turns back to the assembled group. It looked like a bunch of villagers and farmers. Armed with nothing but tools for weaponry.
Against a professional army?
This must be a joke. We'll get completely annihilated if we attack a fortified Noxian post.
"Irelia. Can these people really take on Noxian soldiers?" I ask.
She looks down.
"No. Many will die. But if we don't sacrifice to push the noxians out for good then them and their families will never be safe. They know the stakes. Ionia also doesn't really have a fearsome standing army." She looks up at me. Her eyes showed no hesitation as those words came from her mouth.
She was confident in this plan.
Well. I came all the way here. I might as well tag along. Should the situation grow dire I can just run away.
