The west side of this village was turned into a semi staging camp for raids. It was mostly an area dedicated to the wounded. Encompassed by rifts of magic improving the bond between our world and the arcane. These bonds improved biological processes such as healing.

Stepping through the rift and a sudden feeling overcomes me. As if under water but without drowning. I feel much more aware of my body, a side effect of the heightened magic flowing through me.

Shocking in all honesty. What were wince deep wounds were almost visibly mending in front of my eyes.

I make a bee line in some direction as I look at my cut up bruised abdomen. Completely unaware of my motion I practically walk through someone. Except, I only stumbled backwards.

"Woah!" I recoil.

"Sorry about that" I follow up.

"Oh it's no big deal." I see her smile up at me.

It was none other than Akali. Who looked ......healthy. Too healthy, given her injuries. I knew of the healing rifts, but Akali's injuries looked threatening last night. I would've been down for weeks had I been in her position.

"Akali! I'm glad you're alright. I was not expecting such a quick recovery." I smile at her.

"Yeah, I'm not one to lay around anyway. Though I probably wouldn't be able to run right now nor taking on the armies of noxians." She jokes.

Her little humor got me thinking. Was that really the might of the noxians? We took out an important outpost from them, the consequence will likely come sooner or later as I doubt they will leave this area unattended. If they send more soldiers I doubt we could fight off whole armies.

"What are you thinking about?" Akali waves her hand in formy of me.

I look back at her.

"Nothing really, I'm still feeling like shit after everything I went through yesterday." I respond.

"What you did is Worth it. At least in my opinion. You stood against a superior force for a more noble cause and won. Take that in." She pats my shoulder.

As we walk we reach a populated area of the village, where there was a tavern of course. Regardless of race or  region, the pub was always there for everyone. Taverns really keep the world from a collision course with destruction.

And in all honesty, I was looking forward to a drink.

"Hungry or thirsty? Let's go in here for now." I wave Akai in the direction.

She follows me as we go inside.

And of course. It had to be full.

To be expected really given that many of the residents here had near death experiences they've likely never faced before.

I look around slightly panicking for an unloading reason. I felt a lingering presence though I could not describe it.

"We gonna float around here or do we plan on seating ourselves?" I hear Akali whisper from my right.

Running around pubs in Bilgewater gave me some trauma, I guess it hasn't worn off yet. Plenty of unsavory individuals hung around there. Add the fact that they were drunk beyond their mind, they were absolutely terrible.

I remember an occurrence where I was supposed to find and save a table for my parents. Entering the large room as shouts roared through. I hated the feeling. Before I knew it some man hurled his arm around me and led me over to his group.

All downright wasted, they laughed at every thing I did or said. Leaving wasn't an option as the big pirate was set on me staying.

I don't mind liquor, I just do my best to never drink too much.
