        I woke up the next day to a letter from my mum and im hoping she sent me money
Dear Y/n,
          Hi Hunny we sent you some money for a dress i hope schools going well and when you get home i want to hear all about this ball that's happening i live you and can't wait to see you

           I got happy knowing my mum actually wants to hear about the ball. She always wanted me to find a guy that makes me happy so whenever I would tell her about a crush in normal school she would get so happy. I decided to go to breakfast for the first time ever and I really wish I didn't.
          "Y/n wtf was yesterday about" theo asked as i sat down. "Hm theo i dont fucking know maybe the fact you called my friend a mudblood right infront your mudblood friend. I dont know theo maybe it was that!" I yelled at him. "My god y/n your so fucking dramatic i can't believe that a guy like mattheo would ask you to the ball!" After he said that my blood was boiling "you know what theo why dont you go fuck one if your whores instead of coming at me because you dont have a fucking date!" I screamed back at him. "You filthy little mudblood!" That was all i heard before mattheo started punching theo in the face. "Mattheo stop!" I yelled but he didn't hear "MATTHEO!" I screamed he stopped and looked at me as i was running out in tears.
Mattheo POV
         I fucking did it! I scared her away! After she ran out the great hall i chased after her. What if she hates me now what if she doesn't want to talk to me ever again. I mean he was being a bitch he deserved it so why was she crying as she ran away.
Y/n POV
          As i stood there watching I started to understand why mum never did anything. Now I understand why she would just stand there with tears in her eyes watching. Thats the reason i was crying. I ran to my dorm slammed the door and just sat on the floor infront of my bed crying. I could move it all hurt. The memories of my dad hitting me almost every day run through my mind and i just cant stop crying.
           I heard a knock at my door and I couldn't form words so i just didn't answer. Then the door flew open and slammed against the wall reminding me of the night of my birthday. I slowly look up using all the energy i have and see mattheo shutting the door slowly so that i dont jump again and slowly walking over to me. I used all the strength i had to get off. The floor and hug mattheo. He guided me to the bed and sat me down with my head on his chest.
           "Darling im sorry for scaring you I didn't think and he was being a bitch to you so my first instinct was to beat him" he said as i flinched at the words 'beat him' "mattheo its not that really its just a long story" i told him still not wanting to tell anyone about my dad "mattheo whats this darling thing??" I say to him making him blush " holy shit did Mattheo Riddle just blush" "oh fuck off" after that we just layed on the bed cuddling before I drifted off to sleep in his arms.
            The next day i woke up in mattheos arms with him still asleep.after a couple seconds i had to go to the bathroom so I tried getting up but i was pulled back down by mattheo. "Y/n why are you leaving" he said with his morning voice. " i have to get to the bathroom" "go later" "no its 10:30 you should wake up" "fine" i got ready for the day and walked to lunch since I missed breakfast and i ate a couple things then me and pansy went out to hogsmade to get dresses for tomorrow night.
            I picked out a nice dark green dress that was tight at the top and had a flowy bottom that went to my ankles and pansy got a black dress tight dress with a slit on the one side. "So pansy who are you going with?" "Enzo" "ACTUALLY!" "Yea!" "FINALLY!" I was so happy for her she has liked him since the beginning of the year.
            Me and pansy made our way back to hogwarts and we dropped our dresses off at our dorm and went to dinner theo didn't come near us which i wasn't that mad about and after dinner i showered and fell asleep
