Things were crazy from the CiRCLE Thanks Party. After the performances, Marina made a decision to hold an after party for everyone as a thanks for helping out. We all had a good time, as old friends caught up, and new ones were made.

But I never forgot what Chisato said to me earlier. She wants to see a performance from both me and Takeru, so that she can gain his trust. I haven't told him this yet, only because I didn't know how he'll respond. Will he be okay with this? Has even played an instrument before?

I was thinking too hard about this, even at school when I should be focusing in class. But thankfully, it was lunch time, and nowadays, Takeru and I will go outside with our bentos and eat our food in the great outdoors. However, thinking about this has caused me to ignore what Takeru is trying to say to me.

"Umm, earth to (Y/N)? Are you there?" He asked.

That brought me back to reality.

"Oh, sorry, did you say something?" I asked.

"I was letting you know that I can finally come into work today after school." He said.

"Really? Good to know..." He said.

"Is everything okay? You don't seem like yourself." Takeru asked.

"Actually, is it okay if I asked you something?" I asked.

"Sure. What's up?"

"Have you ever played an instrument before?" I asked.

"I used to play the bass when I was younger, but I was told to get rid of it because my grandma thought there was no point in having it if I'm going to use it." He replied.

"Oh, I see."

"Why are you asking me this anyway?" He asked.

I decided now it would be a good chance to come clean, and told him what Chisato said about her not trusting him.

"Oh, she said that, huh?" He asked.

"Yeah, but she did say there was a way for you to earn her trust." I said.

"Oh yeah? What is it?"

"She wants the two of us to do a private performance for her." I said.

"A private performance?" He questioned.

"Yeah."

"That sounds like a good idea, but I don't have a bass anymore." Takeru said.

"Not a problem. We can look at basses on our next day off, and see where to go from there." I told him.

When he heard that, he began to think about it.

"Well, I guess it couldn't hurt." He said. "So yeah, you can count me in."

"Good to know."

He and I shared a fist bump just when the bell rang, telling us it was time for our afternoon classes.

"Well, I guess I'll see you after school then." Takeru said.

"Yeah, man. See you later."

Location - Edogawa Music Shop

Our day off from work ended up being a week later from now. And since we also didn't have school, Takeru and I decided to take advantage of this. We met up somewhere, and headed over to Edogawa together.
