Chapter 14 - Revealing The Truth

We've hit rock bottom at this point. We searched everywhere, and Chisato was nowhere to be seen. After failing in our search, the girls, Marina and I made our way back to CiRCLE to discuss what we should do next. But needless to say, no one had any ideas.

"In the end, no one found Chisato-senpai, huh?" Nanami asked.

"Yeah, she could be anywhere by now." Ako replied.

"We do have one lead, though." Sayo began.

"Yeah, and that Takeru-kun is the one who kidnapped her." Eve said.

"Has anyone tried getting a hold of Takeru-kun?" Hagumi asked.

"Yeah, but it would just go straight to voicemail." Himari said.

Meanwhile, I was having mixed feelings about all of this. I was worried that Chisato is out there probably dead, and I was mad at Takeru for kidnapping her in the first place. Why would he do that, though?

"(Y/N)-kun."

I looked up and saw Aya, who looked concerned for a moment.

"Oh, did you need something, Aya?" I asked.

"I'm just seeing if you're okay." She answered.

"Sorry, I was deep in thought for a moment." I said.

"About Chisato-san, right?" Mashiro asked.

"Yeah, and Takeru..."

I made a fist and hit the table hard, which startled them.

"DAMMIT!!!" I snapped. "How can Takeru do this after everything he and I have been through?!"

"(Y/N)-san, please calm down." Nanami said.

"Calm down?! How am I supposed to calm down when Takeru took away someone who is important to all of us?!" I asked.

"We understand how you feel, but there's no need to lose your temper." Saaya said before hugging me from behind.

Saaya was right. I had no idea what came over me. I stared at my girlfriends one by one, and let out a sigh.

"Sorry, girls." I said. "I didn't mean to snap, I just..."

"You're worried... about Shirasagi-san, right?" Rinko asked.

"Yeah... if only I was around her more..."

"No need to beat yourself up over this." Tsugumi said.

"She is right." Sayo added. "Shirasagi-san is still out there."

"You think so?" I asked, feeling a bit better.

"Sayo-senpai is right. We just have to look harder than ever before." Hagumi said.

"Yeah!" The others said together in unison.

Seeing everyone this determined to find Chisato really does melt my heart. I just got to believe that she is out there, and she can be saved.

Moments later, however, my phone started ringing. I looked at it and saw that it was from a private number. My heart sank to my stomach, as this could probably be the same person who was threatening to kill me.

"Should I answer it?" I asked.

"You probably should." Tae said.

"Maybe they know something about Chisato-senpai!" Kasumi said.
