Dreams pov:

I'm sitting on my bed with my afflovest on, scrolling through ig

Oh I need to check if George has Instagram

I type "George" and I see a billion different accounts with the name George

So I type "George Cystic Fibrosis" and I find one account with a profile picture of a cute cat

I look at the posts and it's the right George, most of his posts are just his cat, random articles about CF and some pics of him

Then I stumbled across one pic that caught my eye

It's the sky...a beautiful picture of the night sky and you could even see stars

"Woah" I say

That's beautiful, did he take that picture?

I followed him and after some time he follows back

The pictures of him are very good, you can't really see his face but it still looks good

*Knock knock*

I walk to the door expecting some nurse or a doctor but no...I see him...George

"Oh hi" I say first

"Hey, do you wanna maybe get food with me?" He politely asks

I would love to do that but it's dangerous, we've been meeting a lot now, and we are not allowed to get near each other because we might get each others bacteria and that won't be good for our lungs

So contacting with him is always a risk for both of us

"I don't think we can..." I feel my heart ache from saying that and seeing how his face dropped

He looks confused

"George you know we ca-"

"What are you two doing so close to each other" A nurse unexpectedly appears from nowhere, she is so loud but I think that's Georges favourite nurse

"Oh sorry" George quickly says and backs away

We already were like 7 feet away and now it's like 10 feet

"George go back to your room" She then calmly says

He sighs and starts going into the direction of his room

He looks so sad it hurts

I wave and mouth bye with a sad smile

He does the same

"Stop being near each other" The nurse says, she looks kinda mad and worried

"Sorry Kate" I say and close the door, btw her name is Kate

This whole thing just worsened my mood

I dont wanna draw, I don't wanna play video games, even social media became boring

I have nothing to do, I want to go out with George

We became much closer already, we talk a lot and it seems like he really enjoys hanging out with me

My phone rings and I see it's George

My face lights up and my smile comes back

I pick up and hear his soothing calm voice, I feel my face heat up

"Hi, sorry about what happened" He says

"Oh it's alright, we should probably hang out when Kate is busy"

"Yeah" He says chuckling

"I think she leaves at 10pm, her shift ends, so we can hang out at night" He cheerfully says

He is always so positive I don't understand how he does that and he always looks good like he's not in a hospital

"Yeah we can get late dinner together" I say

"Do you do your treatments?" He asks

"Yeah"  I lied, I don't

"Good job"

"Well we are gonna have to take some medicines soon" He says

"Oh yeah" I didn't know that

"I have a tip how to take the medicines easier, I'll facetime you"

He hangs up and after like a split second he calls me

I pick up and I see his beautiful face on my screen

"Hi"

"Hi"

We both start laughing for no reason

"Alright, get your pills and I'll show you how I take my pills" He says

"Okay" I say and get my plastic box where the pills that I have to take are

"So you take 5 pills at the same time and drink a milkshake so it all gets flushed to your stomach" He says and shows me his milkshake

"I don't have a milkshake" I say

"Omg, that's like the only good thing this hospital has you should definitely get it, I drink it everyday"

"Shall I call the nurse?"

"Yeah, ask for a strawberry milkshake it's the best" He says

"Or any it's your choice, I just recommend the strawberry one" He says fast

"I think I'll get the strawberry one" I say

"Good" He responds

I click the button that calls for a nurse, people usually use it for an emergency lol

*knock knock*

"Come in" I say loud enough for her to hear

"Whats up?" She asks

"Kate can you pleeaaaaaasseee get me a strawberry milkshake" I say

"George influenced you didn't he?" She jokingly says

I laugh and give her a small nod

"Alright, I'll be back with your milkshake"

"Thank you Kate"

She leaves my room, Kate actually is very nice and kind but she is too overprotective about me and George especially George

"You can also try the chocolate one it's also pretty good" George says still being in the call with me

"I will try one day, are there any other flavours?"

"There is also banana and vanilla but they're absolutely hideous" He says and makes a disgusted face that looks very funny

We both start laughing, I realise that I laugh with George much more than I usually do

Before I came to this hospital my life was so much more depressing and boring, I barely even smiled and almost never laughed, I couldn't find joy and my life was just so miserable

George already made my life so much better even though I've known him only for like a week

Me and George make conversations about anything, we talk so much I love it

Kate brought the milkshake, I tried Georges tip and it's actually easier

The time flew by, its already 1 am

I'm laying on my bed on one of the side and in front of me is my laptop with George in the call

George is in the same position, we both are just smiling at each other, George looks so good right now

The silence is comfortable, it's not awkward

We are just admiring each other

I don't even realise that George already fell asleep, I'm still staring at him with my smile

And he's just peacefully sleeping
