"Hello Uncle. Yeah. This is Louie, Ariana's son. It's been awhile. How are you and Grandma?" Louie is sitting on the sofa cross leg while tapping on his knee.
"Yeah. I called because I need a favor from you. You see, one of my friends wants to run away from home and he wants to stay with me. I'll tell dad he was my cousin. You are the only one with a phone there so he will surely ask you."
Louie raised a brow hearing him complaining how he only called when he needed something and he told him a lot of things to get his sympathy. Like his grandma being ill, his cousins on an accident, bad crop and all.

"You are living a tough life, Uncle. I don't have a lot of money but I'll send you money to help even a little."
Ofcourse his Uncle wants more than 'a little' but he already told him goodbye and just make him promise to tell his dad.

"What happened?" Adrian asks.

Louie frowns looking at him with an apron.
"What are you doing?"

"I'm just reheating the food in the fridge. It's not good to waste food."
Adrian said shyly.
He can eat the leftover food but Louie is different so he made something for him.

Louie clicks his tongue.
"You refused everything I said. You keep insisting on eating those foods. I don't even know how long they are sitting in the fridge!"

"I put dates on them. I throw the other food that doesn't have a date on it to make sure." Adrian said seriously.

Louie claps his hand sarcastically.
"You impress me so much."

"I'm sorry."

Louie snorts.
"Fine. It's not like I can't eat it."

But when he went to the table, He is eating something newly cooked.
Around Adrian plate is 5 small portions of different food but they are all reheated food that doesn't look very appetizing.

"Next time you eat a different meal from me I'll really get mad."
Louie ate. He was shocked that the food tasted good. Maybe better than Nanny Betty's.

"I see. I'll bear that in mind." Adrian smiles.
Louie is saying it full of sarcasm but for whose sake is he being mad? If he can't figure it out, he really am stupid.

"Starting tomorrow, you will have a tutor. You need to pass an exam so you can jump grades. If you are lucky, you will be in grade 7."

"What grade are you?" Adrian asks.

"I'm in Grade 8 this school year."
Louie swallows. "You cook so well. Can you cook other recipes?"

"I can try. I always want to cook but there's limited ingredients at home." Adrian said.

"If Nanny Betty didn't come back then I'll hire you."

"Really?"
Adrian's eyes brighten.

Louie glares at him.
"You are so diligent!"

"Don't get mad. I just want to do something for you."

Louie rolls his eyes.
"You are irritating. I won't enslave you. You can roll around and be lazy if you want."

"I already think I'm being lazy though."

Louie crosses his arms.
"You are making me look bad. Once you mingle with other people they will get irritated with you."

"But…isn't it a good thing to do?"

"You goody two shoes." Louie snorts.
"Oh right. We should go to the mall. I'll introduce you to my friends later."

"Are they rich kids too?"

"They are.. I think we are just average." Louie said seriously. He doesn't know how rich his father is. He has one company and they can go abroad and buy this and that but there are other families with higher status than them so he thinks they are just average in the rich world.

Adrian can't believe Louie but as he knows him. He learns that Louie is not a humble person. So if he says they are average it's either it's true or it's how he views them.

"Why do you ask?" Louie continues.

"I'm just afraid they will dislike me."
Adrian said timidly.

"They are irritating but they won't hurt you. Plus I'm there. Nobody will say anything bad to you,I'll protect you."

Adrian's lips curved.

Louie bought a lot of things for Adrian. Even things Adrian doesn't think he needs.
It's already late when they return home.
Soriano didn't ask Adrian but Louie said he was his cousin. 

"It's already late." Adrian said.
"Are we still going out?"

"Ofcourse. We will go to my friend's villa. They have a simple pool party and some drinks. It's private so nobody will know."

"Drinks….as in alcohol?"
Adrian's eyes widened.

"Have you tried it? It's not that heavy, maybe just a punch and beer. Nobody wants trouble anyways. And besides alcohol is not the most illegal there."

"Drugs?"
Adrian is scared.

"What drugs?! Billard betting. Don't say something weird." Louie gives him an eye roll.

Adrian heaved a sigh.
Though those are not good but at least it's not something as bad as drugs.

They were about to leave when Louie received a call.

"Why did you transfer money to your Uncle this afternoon?"

"Dad, Uncle sent my cousin here and told me their life in the province is not easy. I see my cousin is very good at cooking and diligent. I let him stay."
Louie said. His voice is calm but in his head he is panicking.

"Cooking? What happened to Nanny Betty?"

"You don't know? She left 2 weeks ago. Thanks to my cousin, I'm not starving." Louie said softly.

"If he is good then let him stay. Send him back if he did something bad."

"Yes Dad. Dad, I hope he can attend the same school as mine."

"Attend school?" He sounded displeased.
If they send one, they might send two or more. Later it'll just become a headache.

"Dad, It's fine. I won't tell Uncle that he will go to school. Just say he is working for me."

"Good. If you need help, call my secretary."

"Thank you Dad!"

Louie happily looks at Adrian
"See? It's easy. Dad's secretary will help us."

"You…you are so good at improv."
Adrian smiles.

"Hehe."
Louie is happy that Adrian is praising him.

Adrian holds his hand.

Adrian : We both didn't try drugs but I got addicted to you.

Louie put his palm over Adrian face that is inching to him.
