Adrian wakes up in a daze. He feels sluggish.
He looks around and suddenly his body jerks.
Why is he sleeping? His stepmom will get mad again.
Crawling down the bed he suddenly stops.
He is in the bed?
Looking more consciously around, he remembers he was now in Louie's house.
Looking at the soft bed and his clothes he once again dazed.

It's already 6pm. He sleeps after lunch.
How can he feel so lazy?
He feels bad.

He looks around for something to do.
He fixed the bed in place and then there's nothing else to do.
Cook.
Yes. He has to cook dinner.

He walks to the door and sees a red phone on the bed.
Louie gave him a phone. He said it's something he used before. It still looks new to him. He feels a bit full and he is no longer sleepy.
He went out of the room.
Louie is nowhere in the house.
He wonders what he wants to eat.

He looks at his phone and look at the only saved numbers in the phone

"Hello? You are awake?"

Adrian drums his fingernails on the dining table.
He hums.
Louie's voice is slightly different on the phone.

"Good. I'm in your house."

Adrian felt panic.
Will Louie bring him back to his Uncle and stepmom?

"Guess what? Police is here." Louie whispers.His voice is a bit muffled in laughter. "Serves them right. You think he will stay in the cell for good?"

Adrian feels his head is spinning. It's just a bit of hot headedness. He made a phone call saying his Uncle is doing drugs.
He fears that if he continues using drugs, his life will be even more miserable.

He feels scared. If Louie didn't take him away...would he actually die after his Uncle found out he snitches on him?

He also wishes his Uncle will stay in jail.

"Daym, they didn't take him." Louie's voice is full of sarcasm. "The police let him go. Saying it's just a misunderstanding after he received a phone call. Your Uncle's backing is really..." Louie is mad.

Adrian on the other hand is pale.
"Louie....can you come back?"

"Ha? Okay. I just came to gossip what's new with these scum family. I'll go back. Don't cook. I already called for food delivery." Louie sat on his bicycle and turned around. He really feels disgusted about this family.

Adrian is on the sofa and he is hugging his feet while his forehead is resting on his knees.
He looks so pitiful.

"What's wrong?" Louie asks.

Adrian looks up.
There are red marks on his forehead that made Louie laugh.

"What's wrong with you?" He sat next to him.

Adrian hesitates and crawls to his side. Hugging Louie.
Louie feels weird and wants to push Adrian away but he endures because the thinner boy is trembling.

"What?" Louie is getting mad again but he uses a softer tone and pats his back.

Adrian knows...He would definitely die tonight if he is still in his Uncle's house.

After calming down,Adrian didn't move away from Louie.
Louie tolerates him and just plays on his phone.

Their position is really wrong. Even Adrian is aware of it but he didn't move away.
Louie keeps tapping on his phone.
Adrian finally feels reassured and turns to Louie's phone.
He is playing an online game. He also had it on his phone. Louie said he will teach him how to play if he wants. He didn't want to play it before but now he wants to.

"Louie,"

"Wait." Louie pats his back but his eyes continue looking at the screen of his phone.

Adrian smiles and lies on his chest then.

Louie pats his back.

"Damn!" Angrily, Louie puts the phone down. "We lost again, motherf**kers. Don't know how to play!" He angrily said.

Adrian moves away from Louie since he finally released him.
Adrian is blushing on the side but Louie didn't notice.
"The delivery is still not here? I'm hungry." Louie grumbles.
"Anyways, are you alright now?"

Adrian nods.
"Thank you for lending me your shoulder." He said.

"You are a bit heavy despite being thin." Louie sneers and pinches his cheek.
"What happened to you?"

Adrian winches in pain so Louie lets him go. He rubs the hurt cheek.
"I....I reported Uncle to the police...Hoping he will get caught."

"Daym! Are you serious? And you didn't consider if that plan didn't work out, your Uncle will seriously k------" Louie's eyes widen!

He is just in time! He almost missed the chance to save Adrian! If he didn't move earlier than expected.....Adrian...this sticky, easy to bully, easy to cry idiot.....he....
Louie hugs him again.
Louie's body is trembling.
The picture of the dead Adrian.
He can still remember it.
So that's why.
So today is the day Adrian died in his past life. This poor boy.

Adrian is shocked with the hug he wanted to hug him back when they both flinched hearing the doorbell.

Louie looks at Adrian's face.
"The delivery is here." Louie says and walks away from Adrian.
Adrian finally breathed out. He didn't realize he was holding his breath.

Louie's head is in a mess.
He really feels scared.
He thought that what he did was a bit abrupt. He can slowly help out Adrian and cultivate feelings as friends instead of drastically kidnapping people.
Who in their right mind would consider kidnapping?
But now he is relieved that he is stupid.
If he is a smart and logical person, won't Adrian be dead now?
This stupid fool! Don't he know that his Uncle has a backer? What about drugs? What about abuse? The police will pretend they see nothing. Money is this powerful.
Louie gives an imaginary thumbs up to his mother in heaven.
'Thanks for being a rich man's mistress mom. You did well.'
He feels funny saying it in his heart.
Though morally that's not right to say.

"Set up the table, let's eat." Louie said.

Adrian follows him to the dining area and helps Louie.

There's honey glazed chicken, creamy pasta, roasted chopped squid and pizza. It's a random assorted food then Louie opens an icy cold soda.

"I just ordered a random snack. If you like anything, you tell me so next time I'll consider your preference."

Adrian nods.

They both have things to think in their heads and quietly eat.
Both are relieved and also rattled.
To calm their own imagination, they just eat until there's no more space in their stomach.
