"I honestly don't" I whispered to him, barely audible.
He looked down at me, intently studying my features as if he were reading my thoughts, feeling my every emotion. I found it beautifully amusing. It was as if he felt me. And I realized, in that moment, I could feel him. I could feel his slow breaths on my sensitive skin, as I laid my small hand on his muscular chest feeling his rapid heart beat. I felt a quick movement, his hand grabbing mine. He slowly slid it up to his lips. Harry and I didn't break eye contact, deeply staring at eachother. He softly kissed my palm, dragging his lips along my slender fingers. He was so elegant and serene. I've never seen him like this before. It was so new and intriguing.
"Who are you?" I asked. I knew him, but I didn't know exactly who he was. I saw how his vibrant green eyes watched my lips as they parted and spoke.
"Yours. I'm yours" He spoke after he interpreted what I had said.
He was mine. He had given me all of him. But I wasn't ready to give him all of me. I was just a simple girl who couldn't possibly meet his expectations. I was boring little old me. I was nothing compared to who he was.
This feeling so different. He seemed so sensitive. I've always thought of him as a demanding psychopath. I guess I shouldn't assume, yeah?
Harry grabbed hold of both of my wrists and held them up.
"Harry, I-"
"Sit" He demanded quietly.
Sit?
I tried, but my foot was caught. My bum slightly slapped against the hardwood chair. A small whimper escaped my parted lips, but quickly replaced by a pair of soft, willing lips. His rosy pink lips pressed against mine like they were meant to be there. His nose was snugly placed where my nose met my cheek. I felt my stomach expand with a feeling that I have never experienced before.
Harry pulled away, as well as letting my lips go. He looked down at me once more. Now his muscular silhouette towered over me. He walked away, his long legs so tantalizing. I watched every move he made. Every step he took. His tall figure stopped at a small table on the far side of the treehouse. Harry turned around and faced me, eyeing me up and down. I felt my fingernails claw into the arms of the chair. I knew that the both of us could sense the inadmissible tension. He swiftly picked up a pencil and a notepad, finally making his way back to me.
Harry placed a chair directly before me, and sat down. His eyes glued to mine. He lifted his hand and pointed out the large window.
What I saw was breath taking. The light grey colour seemed to fade into a shade
of navy blue. The lake. It was so beautiful. I embraced everything single detail. I loved how the trees overlooked the hills, and how the sunlight lit the whole sky on fire. I found myself gazing at the small cluster of geese as they swam by. I absolutely loved it. It was just so breathtaking to watch.
Then I found a couple on the dock. And that etiolated blonde hair. Niall. He and Alice sat, letting their feet swing freely over the calm water. They were damn cute together, I swear. They faced eachother as they laughed. The smile on their faces. They looked so happy. I'm glad for that, they seem to like -maybe even love- eachother. I wish I had that chance. To love someone again. I've loved before but that escalated very badly.
I silently watched as Niall placed his lean arm around her small shoulders. She seemed so calm and relaxed. I smiled to myself knowing that they're together and healthy. Niall leaned in a bit closer, kissing her temple and returning his gaze to the flock of geese.
I stared a little longer before looking at Harry.
He seemed so concentrated on the sketch pad he had in his hand. His eyebrows furrowed, making his eyebrow piercing glisten in the fragile sunlight. He bit his lip, biting that lip ring again. It was just so arousing to watch. To have a firmly concentrated boy in you're presence. So delicious looking and so fit. I couldn't help but stared as the pencil in his large hands moved rhythmically. He glanced up at me with those baby green eyes. So mesmerizing. So full of... full of hope.
"Let me see" I said as I pointed to the drawing.
Harry hesitated, but nodded soon after.
He handed it to me.
I nearly gasped at what I saw. It was of me, peering out the window just moments ago. My auburn eyes skimmed through each line drawn. Every little detail seemed so detailed and mastered. I looked at him, his emerald eyes staring back at me.
"This is amazing" I told him as his eyes read my lips.
"Not as amazing as the real thing."
I weakly smiled as I stood up. I pulled him up as well, having him tower over me. I took hold of his neck, sweetly pulling him down to my height. I stood on my toes so I could adjust to his height. I placed a small kiss just below his ear.
Harry winced, slightly pushing me back.
"I'm so sorry" I squeaked, looking up at him with worry.
"Its ok" He reassured me as he gave me a small side smile.
I shook my head. No. it was not okay. I lowered him down once more.
"No" He said again, "I'm fine". He had said it a bit more firmly.
I nodded in return, but I knew he wasn't. I looked up at him once more. He pursed his lips, looking elsewhere before his glazed eyes met mine. I leaned upward, looking at his lips as I followed through. I placed my hand on his cheek to lure him closer to me. I closed my eyes as every second passed with astriction. I felt his hot breath on me as he exhaled. It didn't smell of any sort of drugs or alcohol. It smelt kind of sweet. Like peppermint. I let my lips linger on his before I quickly turned his head to the side. I swept the mop of curls that covered his ear. I felt my heart drop as I found little cuts and scratches. All over. Even on the inside. I checked the other ear. The same.
"There were 32 shards of broken glass in this ear, 26 in the other. Niall took them out, but it completely ravaged my hearing." He said to me.
I stood there, wiping my cheeks with the back of my hands like a child. I looked down in shame. It was all me. All my fault. I made little sobbing noises and sniffled as I did. I didn't want any of this to happen.
"Shh, Come to me" He whispered gently, opening his arms. I looked up at him. My eyes stung and my nose felt hot. I embraced him, my arms tightly wrapped around his abdomen. I felt his arms snake around my neck and shoulders.
I honestly think that things can change. People can change.
It just takes time.
