Harry.
That was all I was thinking of. Just him. We sat there, on the treehouse floor, just staring at each other. Not saying a single word. Completely quiet.
"Come along" He said, standing up, slightly brushing his jeans. He held out his hands as I looked up at him. I nodded and took it. He almost took no effort in picking me up, like I was a teddy bear. His hand securely gripped mine as we both walked to the small door that lead to the outside world. He climbed down first, awaiting for me to settle down aw well.
But I knew damn well that his eyes were glued to my bum.
I quickly made my way down, jumping off the last three steps.
Harry took my miniature hand in his and continued to lead me to the water. The small pathway was narrow and lightly covered in pink blossoms. They erupted from the trees above, some of them cascading downwards. It was so beautiful. The air was crisp and I loved it. Every inch.
"You have ADHD don't you" He whispered to me. I looked over at him as he stared back at me.
"W-hat?" I asked, slightly tilting my head.
"Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I think you have it" Harry said once more.
"I don't know" I answered honestly. Even if I was, I wouldn't have noticed. Although I do seem to be a bit out of hand.
"There you go again Paige, you disappear into your thoughts moments after I say something. And you can't seem to stop moving" He said, chuckling at his last remark.
It was true, I found myself fiddling with my fingers and sway my head from side to side every other minute. so what if I have ADHD it's not like I'm messed up enough already . I turned to Harry. "I guess so. Great, another thing that makes weird" Harry chuckled and wrapped me into a hug, "no that makes you more special." I felt my cheeks get warm. Harry chuckled once more, which made me burn more. damn my cheeks were probably as red as a monkey's ass.
'we're here.' Harry says. I looked at my surroundings. We were at the edge of the woods. Not far from us was the lake. It was as beautiful up close as it was from the tree house. The flock of geese were still there, but they looked like they were going to take flight. My assumption was correct, for the geese all flapped their wings and took off. I smiled as they all honked, as if to tell each other they were leaving. Many ripples in the water showed up. I followed the rings with my eyes, and I saw the same couple there.
Niall and Alice were sitting on the dock. Alice had her head nestled in Niall's neck. He was stroking her hair, while his other hand had his fingers intertwined with Alice's. They were talking, but of what I didn't know.
I felt Harry's hand gently touch mine. It surprised me, since i forgot he was there. It seemed as if he was asking permission to hold my hand.
I was quite hesitant, but I wrapped my fingers around his. This was nice. The nicest thing that has actually happened. I still remembered the old memories that seemed to be inscribed to the back of my mind. Old memories flashed in before my eyes. The pain, the drugs, the alcohol, everything. All of it rushed through my mind, making my lips tremble and my breathing hitch. Gosh, I was such a cry baby.
I felt a pair of long fingers wiping at my flushed cheeks. I turned my gazed to the brown headed boy. He didn't seem too upset or too lively. Just plain and... well, imperturbable.
"What's the matter?" He asked me quietly as he took my hand in his once more before placing soft bird kisses. He then looked at my lips for an answer, but I shook my head instead.
Maybe he doesn't know what he had done. Maybe the collision drained those memories from him. I'll just keep my mouth shut for the time being.
I looked down at our feet, his were enormous compared to mine. So were his hands. I fiddled with his fingers as my eyes wondered the trees and my body swaying slightly.
I heard a small chuckle next to me. I looked over at him as looked off into the distance.
"The sunset" he whispered. I smiled as I watched him. He was so different. "My parents would take me out here and show me where the stars touch the water" He mused.
I didn't know what to say. I was so touched. So connected to him. I didn't want that to change, but I know that'll change. This obviously can't be real.
"Where are they?..Your parents" I asked. I knew I shouldn't have, but I was so curious. His eyes became glazed once more. But this time, lifeless. I quickly regretted ever asking. "H-harry, I apologize I shouldn't ha-"
"It's ok, you were bound to figure it out anyway" Harry said in a hushed tone. He was so quiet and gentle that it was nearly impossible. He was quiet before he told me.
"When I was your age, I got myself into this mess" He said. I was confused. Mess? But then again, he was a drug dealing pimp or whatever. He continued.
" I ran from home and I felt terrible for leaving my family, so I came back. But they left. Only, they didn't leave. The house was quiet when I opened the door. Everyone was gone. Blood was everywhere and all was left were the bodies of the dead. Lifeless and on the ground. In that house" Harry whispered to me, pointing to the beautiful estate that sat on the heavily tree covered hillside.
I felt the urge once more, wrapping my arms around his thick waist. He put his arm around my shoulder and I cuddled closer to him. I dug my nose into his shirt. He smelt of Hollister cologne and I found it so arousing. My cheeks burned and my body shook as I felt his arm loosely linger around my waist, so close to my bum. A bit too loose, as if he wasn't in need of a hug. I looked up. He was looking at something off into the distance. I followed his stare to find a swing. One that hung from a large tree branch. Oh how I loved swings. I ran to it as an instinct, stepping on twigs and rocks as I sprinted between the trees. I made it there, looking at the chain links that held the whole thing together. I eyed them up, looking to see if it was safe. It seemed safe enough. I took a step closer and I roughly tugged on it, just to make sure. I turned on my heel to call Harry over, but he was nowhere to be seen.
I called out for him, but there was no reply. I turned around again, to find his long silhouette standing by the swing.
"Come" He said, trying to make me sit.
I did, but I did not sit.
I pulled his arm toward me, pushing his hip downward so he'd sit down instead. I then turned around and slowly sat on his lap. Harry took hold of my hips as we both swung our legs in unison.
Nothing sexual or anything. Just swinging.
