Laura's POV
"What?! Ross!" I called after him, I looked at Ell and he motioned me to run after him. I did, I removed all the gifts from my lap and ran up the stairs.
"Ross." I knocked softly at our bedroom door, "Are you okay?"
He was sitting on the edge of the bed, face in his hands as just sighed.
"Laura I'm sorry." He said softly, "I bet I embarrassed you down there."
"No you didn't." I smiled, going to sit down next to him. "But why'd you run and freak out when you had to give me a gift?"
"I'm just worried." He said.
"Worried about what?" I questioned, he took my hand and smiled at me. "That you won't like the idea as much as I do."
"Ross I'm confused." I said.
"I was just over reacting. I'm fine now. But can I have a kiss?" He asked, smirking as we saw the hallway light switch off.
I questioned him at first but rolled my eyes and gave him a kiss, "Now let's go back down there and I'll give you your gift."
Ross' POV
She nodded and we intertwined our hands, walking out to the hallway, all the lights in the house were off and lit up by little tea lights, they were on the side of every stair and I smiled knowing that my plan was working well.
"Ross why is everyone so quiet down there?" Laura whispered.
I shrugged, "Laura stay here for um, one second." And I let go of her hand running down the stairs to find my mom to go watch Laura so she doesn't follow me down here, I quickly saw the spot light shining on R5, yes R5 because Ryland is playing piano and Rydel's singing, there was a chair in the middle, centre of the room in front of the stage surrounded by rose petals.
Everyone is going to say something about Laura in my family and then, I'm going to go up there and purpose. Perfect plan?! Hopefully.
A few seconds after all Laura's family and friends surrounded the stage that was in our basement.
I obviously hid when I saw my mom bring Laura to the chair, Laura smiled and thanked her before waving at her family confusingly staring at the stage.
Oh God please let this be good.
Laura's POV
"Hey Laura." All of a sudden I saw Rydel on stage. "Also known as my best friend!" She smiled, "You've been in my family for about a year and that year has been amazing for me. I've never met a girl who could handle and love of my brothers like you. I never met someone so caring, and sweet, so pretty and loving as you before, and I love having you here and I love that we can both complain about the boys together. Because that's what sisters and best friends do right?" Rydel chuckled. My heart was so warm right now, I smiled widely before running up there and hugging her she smiled and hugged me back, "Go sit down."
I did as told and went back to my seat, watching Rocky go up next.
"Laura. Laura. Laura. Laura. Not only do I love you, but I love your name. You're honestly like a little sister to me. You're smart and you're fun, and when everyone is annoyed by me already you just keep giving me your attention and you're never rude, and I think Ross is the luckiest to have you Laura, I love you and I know your further with us will be better than Mac n cheese." He winked at me. "Because this family needs you!"
I smiled, mouthing a 'thank you' to him he smiled and mouthed 'no problem', by now I could feel my eyes watering a little bit.
Riker came up next, he looked at me and smiled, "Just as what Rocky said. You are like my little sister, if Ross hurts you he dies instantly." Everyone laughed and I chuckled a little, "When I first met you and I found out you were dating my little brother Ross, I already knew you were a perfect match. And I also wondered if I was dreaming because you're such a wonderful person Laura that anyone would be honoured to call you their girlfriend. And I know Ross is, I hope you know that."
After Marks, Ryland and Ell's speech,my favourite women on earth came up and smiled at me.
"Laura. You are a true beautiful person inside and out sweetheart. I know that I'm giving Ross to the most beautiful, intelligent, caring girl I've met. All of my sons have had a girlfriend before and brought them home for me to meet, except for Ross. He never brought one home until he met you, he bragged about you, he'd tell us stories about you, he said he loved you and I thought what a silly boy, but that was before I met you. I know exactly why he chose you. And you both should be lucky to have each other. Laura you are the greatest person I've ever met, and I love you as if you are my own daughter! I love you sweetheart!" She said smiling, my tears were dipping down my cheeks and that's when I saw Ross on the stage.
He started chuckling, "And that's my family. That love you, and I know you love too." He smiled at me, "How are you enjoying your birthday so far baby?"
I smiled, "It's really amazing."
He smiled, "You know what's funny Laura, I can't imagine growing old with anyone else, nor do I want to. I've been searching my whole life for you. You're not perfect and I don't expect you to be because I'm not either, we both aren't but both of us together is perfect, because I believe that we are perfect for each other. And I know that when I first met you, you were everything I wanted. I want everything you have to offer, I want your mistakes, and your flaws and I'll love them until I die. I know you're the only one I want to share the rest of my life with. And
There are many ways to be happy in this life, but all I really need is you.
I know my life will never be complete if you're not next to me," he smiled, "So Miss.Marano." He said, I was already a mess of tears but this made me ball my eyes out.
He jumped off the stage came closer to me, kneeling down on one knee, he smiled at me pulling out a little black box, "Laura Marie Marano, will you do me the absolute honour of becoming my wife?" And he opened the box revealing a beautiful diamond ring.
I smiled widely and I couldn't even talk, I just nodded like crazy until I could the word out, "Yes! Yes I'll marry you, Ross! I love you so much! Oh my God!" And he slid the ring onto my finger as I wrapped my arms around him before our lips smashed together.
"Now do you see why there was no need to be nervous?" I whispered onto his lips, he just smiled and kissed me again listening to our family cheer.

"Laura call your parents. They should know that your expecting a child and getting married." Ross was took off his black blazer and was now in just a white button up and black dress pants. I on the other hand was already in my pyjamas.
"Fine." I sighed, hesitantly grabbing my phone I dialled my house number.
"Hello?" He voice echoed.
"Hey dad. It's me Laura." I said, frightened of his response, Ross came and sat down next to me, playing my free hand.
"What do you want. You never spoke to us in almost two years and you're calling us now. At eight thirty at night on a Friday? What is it?"
"Well I just thought you had the right to know that I'm pregnant and I'm getting married. Oh and that it's my birthday you fucking prick!" Ross' eyes widened and my language.
He stayed quiet, "Happy birthday Laura."
I stayed quiet this time, then he spoke again. "Who? Who are you marrying and who's baby is that?"
"Ross, and Ross'." I replied happily.
"You're still with that no good, lying son of a bastard who raped you? Is he threatening you with death or something?"
I just sighed, I hung up and fell back on the bed, cuddling up next to Ross. "They hate you too much."
"I know." Ross sighed sadly.
"But we don't need them. Okay? I promise." I smiled.
"Laura they only hate me not you. Whenever you wanna call them, you can."
"They hate me too for being with you. And no! If I had to choose again I'd choose you, every time."
