Casey's POV
I watch Cerri sleep peacefully. The door opens quietly reveling the doctors, they quietly come in with three baby beds. I watch as they walk out making sure they make no noise to wake Cerri. She needs her rest.
When she held my hand before she fell asleep, I could feel that her mate is still alive. How is that possible? She can't feel him anymore. Something isn't right here. Her mate would have told someone if he was going somewhere.
I get up and check on the babies to see them sleeping before leaving the room. Her family stand right out side the door. Her mother grabs my hand and pats it. "Please tell me shes okay."
A chuckle escapes me. "Yes shes fine. Shes a sleep right now."
They gave a big sigh of relief. Her mom smiles. "That's great news."
I smile back at her. "I was wondering. Who is Cerri's mate's beta?"
Her mom blinks a few times as she thinks. "Um...Cori's mate. Come with me."
She walks down the hall to a different room. The door she opens squeaks really loud. "Cori?"
I look around the door to see a girl with long red hair. Her green eyes staring at me. "What is he doing here?"
Cerri's mom looks at me then back at the girl. "He is here to talk to Eric."
She looks next to her at a guy. He looks at me up and down. "What do you need?"
I smile slightly. "It's something between you, Cerri and me."
He shivers. "Cori give us a second to talk."
The girl nods before getting up and walking to the door. Cerri's mom closes the door after I walk inside. I snap my finger making the room sound proof. "I'm guessing you know where Von is."
He looks a way. "I might."
I sit in a chair near him. "Cerri thinks he is dead. So no might. You do or you don't."
He looks at me. "He told me not to tell anyone. Unless it was a life or dead situation."
I hit the arm of the chair. "This is. Cerri's and his life are in danger."
He stares at me for a few seconds then sighs. "He went to see the high alpha. I havn't heard from him since the day the war was over."
I fold my arms over my chest as I think. If that's where he went then he might be there still. "When did he leave to go there?"
Eric shrugs. "About two weeks before the war was over. He went to get the high alpha to stop the war."
I tap my finger on my arm. "Then he might have left and been attacked."
That put him on the edge of his seat. "We have to go looking for him."
I nod. We can't just leave though. Not right now that is. "We will, just not right now. Cerri will need me around."
He nods then looks at the window. "Should we tell her?"
I shake my head. "No, she needs to focus on her new borns."
He sighs. "How long are you going to wait?"
I shrug. "I'm not sure. Till she is able to handle that he is alive with out running out on the little ones I guess."
That would be in a few years. "For we will wait a bit before going out looking for him. When Cerri is ready to handle the truth I will tell her and she will be able to help."
He nods as he stands up. "I'll be waiting till then."
I snap my fingers then nod. "Till then."
He walks over to the window as I stand. I open the door to find the girl, Cori, standing there. "Are you done?"
