Von's POV

After Cerri told me that Luke basically told her to leave, sadness and anger filled me. My mate was leaving me for the second time and Luke threaten my mate. He's doing this to get at me. I have something he wants and he can't have her.

He always loved Cerri even though he wouldn't tell her. She was weak before she shifted. I always thought she was very beautiful and strong. Kind to my pack even though we were enemies. Stepping in to help someone who didn't deserve her help after how they treated her.

When she stood up to me for talking down to Luke. I was surprised but turned on by it. She always made me riled up and I never knew why. Not till I helped her shift. It made sense that my wolf was wanting her sleeping wolf.

I wanted to stay with her. Hold her, kiss her, love her, but I couldn't with the rouges coming and Luke wanting her. My wolf yelled at me when I didn't run after her. I let her down by saying we couldn't be together.

I'm not letting him get a way with this. If it starts a war between Luke and me. So be it. When Cerri turned to the sound of someone in her pack I had to give her the ring before she left again. When I walked away I was proud of myself.

When I felt small arms wrap around me, I was happy. "I know its bad timing but I had to give it to you."

I could feel her tears make the back of my shirt wet. "You made me want to stay more. To be with you."

I rubs my thumb on her hand. "I love you so much Cerri."

She had a smile in her voice. "I love you so much too Von."

I grabs one of her wrist to pull her in front of me then I kneel. "Will you, Cerridwen Willow, marry me?"

A smile appeared on her lips before she escapes my hold. She wraps her arms around me. "Yes."

I hug her tighter before letting her go. "Now go and get your pack out of here for now. I'll be here waiting for you."

She leans forward and gives me a kiss and smile. "To tie you over for now."

I smiled before walking into the woods. When I turned, she was running back to her pack. I will go back to her after I deal with Luke. War might be the only answer. I turn and shift as I run towards Luke's house.

Took me a few minutes but when I got there, Luke wasn't anywhere in site. I smelled the air to catch his scent. He was near Cerri's parent's house. That isn't good. I run towards her parents house to find Cerri's car stopped in front of Luke.

She looked at Luke. Rolling down her window giving a growl. "Move Luke."

He gives her an evil look. A low growl escapes me, hoping they didn't hear. "Drive around me like you did that night."

She rolls her eyes. "I'm not going to kill babies and children for your amusement."

There are children in her car? He better move. As if he heard me, he moved out of her way. Doesn't want to see children killed. After Cerri's car was out of site I walked over to Luke growling. 'You chased my mate out. Why?'

Luke smirks and laughs. "Like I'm going to let you have her. If I can't have her, no one can."

I snap at him. 'Cerri and I are mates. You can't keep me from her. We have mated.'
