Chapter 18: Children

Cerri's POV

Von took me up the stairs to the room I was in when I woke up. He sits me down on a chair. I look around amazed at what I see now. It was like a research room. Von walks over to the door and closes it. "Yesac."

I hear him whisper the name softly. The room seemed to be caught up in a wind storm. I cover my face as the wind hits me. The wind stops in a split second. I move my arms slowly to see Casey standing in the middle of the room.

He smiles when he sees me. I smile and get up and run over to him. "Casey."

His arms open in time to catch me in a tight hug. "You finally woke up."

I look up at him confused. "I wasn't a sleep long."

He looks over at Von as he kind of looks down. When he turns back to me, I could see in his eyes I was missing something. "You have been a sleep for almost 18 years."

I could feel my body going numb in his arms. "18 years?"

He nods his head as Von walks over. "Yes and our three babies just turned 18 today. They just went through there first shift."

I look at him surprised then feel sadness hit me. "I missed there whole lives. They must hate me."

Von smiles and takes me from Casey. "No they don't hate you. They love you."

I smile as I lean against Von's chest. "I'm glad."

He rubs my back and kisses the top of my head. "I missed being able to hold you like this."

I kisses his chest then look up at him. Von looks a little different then before. I smile as I notice he has a little beard. "I missed your touch."

He chuckles as I hear Casey clear his throat. "I'm still here you two."

I laugh as I look at Casey to see that his hair is a bit messy and he has some whiskers. "We know, just started ignoring you."

He chuckles as he smirks. "Well your still a smart ass."

I roll my eyes. "Why would you think I would change?"

He shrugs. "Some people change when they wake up. Some turn really scared, some turn out scary, and some don't come out of it."

I look at him a bit annoyed. "I'm not sure If I should smack you for doing that to me or thank you."

He rubs the back of his neck. "You really haven't changed. I did it knowing you would come out of it. You don't go down that easy."

Von chuckles making me look at him. "What?"

He smiles. "I'm realizing where Leo's attitude came from. You."

I hit his chest making him laugh more. "And Alex's temper."

Really? I glare at him. "Be glad I love you or you would be 10 feet under."

He chuckles then smiles. "I am glad cause I know you would do that if you didn't love me."

I smile and kiss him. He tightens his arms around me as he kisses me back. I pull a way then look at Casey. He smiles and for a second I think I saw a hickey. "Did you find your soul mate?"

He chuckles. "Maybe. Why?"

I point at his neck. "Little hickey on your neck."

He smiles. "Yeah I did 6 years ago. Got a little 4 year old girl who is wild like you."

I smile as I imagine him with her. "She must be a little cutie like her dad."

He chuckles as I here a little growl from Von. I look up at Von with a smile. "I can't call my friend a cutie compared to my handsome mate."
