Mirabel wide her eyes and gulp.Shutting her eyes to be ready whenever if the Woman wants to slap her or punch her.But it didn't happen at all.

"Ay Mija...Open your eyes...I'm not going to do anything to you..."The woman finally soften and holding her hand that she gasp how cold Mirabel's hand were.

"Ay!Your hand is cold as death!"Then the Woman holds her daughter's hand."Now you too?!Did you both came from Iceland or what??I can't let it happen!Come!"Then the woman dragging them both to somewhere warm.

As they passed big living room,the woman open the door that leads to another living room where surrounding it was a bookshelf and a fireplace middle of it along some couch to sit.

The woman then sit them down on the carpet where Infront of them was fireplace,the woman took her stick and poking on the wood to keep the fire stay burden.

"I'll be right back,stay at the fire to keep warm and I'll right back with warm tea"The Woman says with kissing Alexa's cheek before left the room.

Mirabel hummed while her hands up on the height where the fire were to stay warm.Alexa smiled "Warm enough?"

"Yup.I didn't know your mother was actually kind.I was so scared that she's gonna mad at me."Mirabel then chuckled."Mad about what?"Alexa asked.

"Well you know...Mad about...Just like she says... Dragging you all problems and much...I'm sorry...I-If Its was really burden to you..."Mirabel look down on his laps.

"Hey...My Mamí wouldn't get mad so easily...She gets angry because she's so worried...Well you always know that I do alot more into troubles...Just like last time at 5rd grade... Remember?"Alexa said while pointing at Mirabel and Mirabel nodded.

When they hit 5rd grade, Alexa involved a battle with a senior from 7th grade where he challenged Alexa.If she loses,he gets Mirabel to hurt by him.It was pretty sure challenging and made Alexa had bruise alot on her right arms,cutting of the senior's axes.But Alexa managed to win and safe Mirabel from him and gets home,she ended up scold after her mother knows everything.

She would be a shame that she putting Alexa into dangerous.

"Well everything you did was to protect me...Even I didn't try to protect you..."Mirabel said while putting her chin on her knees.

Alexa smiled and look at the fire."For me... Whenever it's hold in my hand...I keep it forever...I never try to losing it..If I lose it,I would lose my mind and blame myself all the time...For losing it..."Alexa said then holds her necklace.

"But I failed once... Losing from my gripping..."Alexa furrowing her eyebrows to down.Mirabel looks at her with concern.

"You...lost someone you love?"Mirabel asked and Alexa nodded.

"It was my Papī..."Alexa gets up and walk to the bookshelf,looking for something but Mirabel stay sit down listening to him.

"When I reach to 5,I was the last one who holds the last necklace.My Abuelo gave his last magic to me and take his last breath,give his life to the witches.The night,our town ruins with green flame and it's everywhere!The witches curse down to generation of us died and the all people died on the hell fire.All people screaming in pain and shouting for help all it was disturbing to my ears to ears to wake up.My Papī try best to not wake me up and holds me tightly."

Then a flashback came back to her,where she remembers herself still in arms of his father and runs with the family to get out from the town.They run through obstacles of the witches attack and managed by Abuela that raised her necklace to lighten shining the witches to blind.
