Prologue

"Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom there was a handsome and charming prince. He enjoyed riding his horse in the woods as he suddenly heard a beautiful voice. Following it, his eyes found an astonishing woman and –"

"Wait. No, this is wrong. It's not once upon a time, it all starts only four years ago. And it also isn't a faraway kingdom. We're living in a globalized world; nothing really is far away anymore and most countries aren't kingdoms anymore. And the woods? That's kinda creepy, don't you think? Don't make me look like a weirdo."

"Okay, okay, I admit that. Let me try again..."

"Four years ago, I, a moody and not always flawless looking to-be-princess, found my prince, a handsome and charming but also sometimes annoying man. I didn't meet him while I was singing in the woods, he didn't sit on a white horse or organize a ball only to see me again; he even found me without a lost shoe. Instead, we just sat next to each other on the couch in the living room every now and then, in comfy clothes, sometimes with a bottle of beer. We weren't flawless or always handsome in any way. But we still found our fairy tale."

"..."

"What? Why do look at me like this?"

"It's almost perfect. But we still aren't royals."

"Oh, be quiet and let me talk."

"Okay."

"So, as I was saying..."

"I'll keep quiet, don't worry."

"Good... Four years ago, I meet the love of my life."

"Perfect."
